ABOUT THE CAMP
It's one of seven wilderness camps for troubled kids ages 8 to 18 throughout North Carolina, whose juvenile justice department is the company's biggest client. The camps are the 1968 creation of Jack Eckerd, the founder of the chain of drugstores that bears his name.The N.C. Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention sees the camps as a kind of filter, catching troubled kids before they do something heinous enough to land in a state youth development center. The camps don't accept sex offenders, serial violent offenders, minors tried as adults, arsonists or pregnant girls.

I just recently graduated from camp on augest 20th i am glad i went i met so many great ppl and i experienced so much i appreciate everything that camp did for me.

yeah i graduated from their aug,21 2007 from the waccamas and i had chief hessie and chief sarah chief rob always tried to be funny he was sometimes i miss that place but every time i was in their i wanted to get out to go on transition homesday or group homesday.

its a pretty good camp it takes a liitle bit of freedom away but that how you straiten the kid out but its fun in some ways you get to go on trips in the summer time such as deep sea fishing canoeing on rivers in florida yea i think this would be a good experince for him or her yer out in the woods and you sleep in log cabons that you build.
