This is what I have been thinking too. How horrible if he didn't mean to do it. The whole world calling you a murderer and monster. I have only heard speculations and emotional accusations. I spoke with a friend of Shelby's who had obviously been advised of the legality issues that could arise from speaking without proof. It sounds like many people are following without stopping to find the facts. I sincerely feel tremendous sympathy for Shelby's family and am not trying to invalidate anything they feel and if Shelby was intentionally killed I 100% want him to be held accountable. It is just so very important not to pass judgement until the investigation is complete and the true facts are available. Can you imagine if it was your son or brother and it wasn't intentional? This is such a sad situation and my thoughts and prayers are with both families.

I can honestly say if my best friend or a family member called me screaming and crying no matter the time of day/night I would be out the house and on my way to them. Becaue I have done it. Silence killed Shelby just as much as a truck. If you know someone is being abused, dont sit on your hands and keep your mouth shut! DO SOMETHING anything!
Apparently you are not from the area! The two of them lived together.. she did not "go there" to break up with him... she lived there... her friends and family had tried to intervene but young love can blind very smart young women... I am sure she sufferen in silence as much as she called screaming etc... so the one part of your post that was right is that silence killed her too. Her silence at the hands of a monster!

No judge is going to NOT hold him responsible for her blatant MURDER based on his own admission of guilt. Anyone who takes this killers side has to be cut from the same cloth as he, and is probably capable of doing the same thing themselves.

You are just another in a long line of folks that don't have a clue about what happened. She is dead, that is the end of a sad story, the other sad story is hate and violence being spewed by you. If he is left with her daddy, then what?

So far all any of you are doing is thinking of what might have happened. A person can say "I'm going to kill you" when angry and never have any intentions of doing so. The ONLY news coverage, real news, says that the boyfriend is in protective custody...not even as a suspect. It says she was WALKING DOWN A HIGHWAY...anyone could have hit her. The article said it was too soon to tell if it is murder or an accident. Sure she broke up with an illegedly abusive boyfriend before hand. When I search her name there are no police records of Domestic Violence and if he was so abusive why would she have went by herself, walking in the middle of nowhere down a highway to break up with him, knowing she would have to walk back or could be beaten without people to support her? The only way that this is conceivable is if she was not scared that he would hurt her, which does not point to an abusive relationship. All that people (frieds, family, other loved ones) are doing right now are speculating because there is no evidence reported for now. Don't judge a man before all evidence is in because it could have been anyone driving down the highway that hit her and kept going. IF IT WAS her boyfriend he deserves to rot in hell, that is cruel...but if not then you are all just making a sad situation worse. If it was you, you wouldn't want to be judged before any real info was available. All I have read on the Tanya Carter page was allegations without proof or substance behind them. She claims that they fought, she broke up and walked away and that he was abusive but where does it say that he was seen hitting her, his tire tracks were found, or any other PROOF? It doesn't because it is all emotional allegations for now. Let law enforcement do their jobs and when the investigation is closed then we will know the "facts" because there will be proof. The other people saying that we will never know the truth are right. Unless a video tape of the break-up and accident are available we will never know. Even a witness can't be seen as knowing the truth because it is jaded by their perception of the event. I will go with beyond a reasonable doubt AFTER the police finish and the evidence has been presented in a court of law.
Let me ask you a simple question, why would anyone be walking down the hiway, right in front of thier house, in night clothes and no shoes...

Are you saying that you are in favor of murder? I think there is enough sadness going around. Her family and even his are the ones paying the price right now while you are going around stirring the pot wishing for horrible things to happen. Do you think "slowly" killing him would be the best for her father? I am not saying that he is innocent but let the justice system do their job. People have been running around saying some pretty awful stuff that just isn't true. Those are some horrible things that her family who is already grieving has to hear (many of which has nothing to do with his and her relationship) as well as his family who is guilty of nothing but being kind and carrying deeply for Shelby. The only fact that we have is that Shelby is dead and that is a tragedy. I thought the world of her. The other tragedy is others making this about them and their supposed need for "justice", not the families.

Even though I hate what has happened even thought I think he should be pot in jail. I must forgive him.

Psalms 130
1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD!
2 O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!
3 If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.
7 O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

I hope that The Lord will give me the strength to forgive him.

Ok so the preliminary hearing is over. Anyone know what he said during his 911 call after he watched her be run over?

So what we know right now as of the preliminary hearing is that almost everyone going on the Justice for Shelby facebook page was clueless or an out right liar. Some people lied and done worse to her than he ever could have. He is going to be found guilty of vehicular manslaughter not because he tried to hurt her but because it is an automatic charge. Both families have been hurt here.
