If you want to see our hard working board and pm at their best, doing their job go to 422 Hunterian Lane and 21 Bellaire Lane.

Have you logged onto to summergrove.net and submitted a Resident Concern Form about those properties? If not, why not?

NO. I use to on a regular basis when we first moved in and each time we would get the exact same canned answer regardless of the problem we were submitting.Proved to be useless. Plus, don't we pay the pm to drive the neighborhood to look for such things? Isn't there a committee that does this? The massive amount of weeds in these yards didn't start growing yesterday. This is a result of long period of neglect. These are just two.

So you believe Jim Graser is a keeper? He is the one that spearheaded changing from an HOA to a POA. A POA severely redirects & diminishes the leverage of power from the homeowners to the association. Who runs the association? The board and the pm. Enough said! Keep in mind all this happened in private, behind closed doors.

Keep Jim Graser? Jim Graser is the one that wants the failed neighborhood next to Newnan Crossing Elementary to be linked to SummerGrove via a new road that would dump into Highwoods Parkway adding more traffic to an already busy road.

How do you know who "spearheaded" that effort?

Several years ago the developer of that tract wanted to put a walking path through that route. I thought it would be a good idea to let children walk to school from SummerGrove. The board said no. Since then I haven't heard anything about a proposal for a road.

I think the website software sends a canned, automated response to anyone submitting a form. But you might see a personalized reply after that. Why not try once more? We'll wait to hear about your experience.

I read somewhere that loose lips, sinks ships. Let's just say Jim Graser is overly proud of that endeavor.

You may have your facts wrong, I may have my facts wrong, or we may be talking about two different things. My understanding was there was a proposal from a board member to extend the walking path from the Belltree Circle playground to the school. A partial path on the SummerGrove side is present and stops at the property line. But the school wanted no part of it as it would require additional personnel to monitor it. The school had to ensure the safety of those kids that may use it. Personally, I think it is a waste of time and effort. It would be one more thing to keep up and let's face it kids don't walk or ride bikes to school any more.

It is also my understanding that the developer of that neighborhood tried to enlist additional investors and one caveat was to build a connecting road from the neighborhood to connect to Highwoods Parkway. The developer presented his proposal at an HOA meeting. In that meeting Jim Graser was all for it. If I recall, he thought it would be good for SummerGrove residents to use to get back and forth to the school. I disagree. People would use it as a cut-through. The point where the road would connect to Highwoods Parkway is a curve. Residents that live there are always complaining of speeding there already. So it makes no sense to add more traffic.

I have to agree with DartBoard. Isn't it part of the PM's job to drive the neighborhood to address violations? I understand help from residents. But at what point is she MADE to do her job? Doesn't she get paid to do that. I drove over there. If I were a neighbor I would be livid. I noticed several other yards in that area that are almost as bad. That area really looks neglected in many ways.

Here again. We all know the PM works only as hard as the BOARD "suggests" she work. How about multi-tasking?

Are you serious? Why does this pm continue to get a free ride? These two homes are ridiculous. This is par for the course. The pm and board's job is to uphold our covenants and these two yards are prime examples of their failing ability to do their job. This is why SG will continue to slide.

Why can't they just do what's right? Why won't they do what's right?

And to think our president wild bill is more concerned with streamlining a freaking meeting. Bill's priorities are so far off the mark. Someone needs to take hold of the reins and get this place under control or it will get much worse.

I am just wondering, if everyone in summergrove supposed to be so wealthy, WHY are you losing your house? It should be paid for in cash when you purchase it. If you are just a WANT TO BE rich person, maybe you should not be there in the first place.

This is a prime example of how Cindy Bruce's policies failed miserably. The weeds in those two yards have been there long before this growing season. The amount of weeds would suggest years of neglect. How long was Cindy on the board? How long has the PM slacked on her job? Both homes appear to be vacant. Based on association budget reports there is such a thing as "self help". At what point does the Board and PM make the decision to deploy self help? Is it really that difficult? Bill, you want desperately to stream line the procedures so why is it taking so long to fix the obvious problems? It does not appear this Board will be any different or effective as the last.

I agree with something else I read on this blog. Board priorities are out of whack. I am all for social events and gatherings, but people I have to say when it comes to selling my house I seriously doubt the number one priority of a prospective buyer will be if SummerGrove promotes senior events, or has an egg hunt, or has a beer/wine tasting event, or if a meeting lasts 30 minutes or an hour. The board is more concerned with their own personal agendas. It was made known that Scot Miller (Cindy's personal board pick) does charity work with seniors. Very good. That's nice. But Scot, if you put as much effort into enforcing covenants as you do setting up events we just may get somewhere. Richard Dulaney, if you would put as much work into enforcing covenants as you do at sitting there looking like a bump on a log, we may get somewhere. You people on the board need to work and work hard at doing something positive for the community and not just getting your agenda out there. Your agenda should be whats best for SummerGrove and not a small portion of it. Bill Boyd, get off the computer and focus on getting the PM to do her job. Kris and Jim, wake up and smell the coffee. Do any of you realize you have the ability to make this place better than what is is? Each day I am becoming less and less impressed with each of your abilities. There is no reason any yard in SummerGrove should look like those two and other yards. There is no excuse.

Where are the three ladies running the covenants committee? They spend all that time producing a you-tube video to show show us what not to do. News flash....it's not working. You three ladies have to convince the Board and PM to do the job before you can convince the people to do their job. Without enforcement your efforts are in vain. With no penalties there will be no compliance.

And that's my Whoop Glory style 2 cents.

You are telling me there are 3 ladies running the covenants committee? Only 3? With a community this large? Is that why this place looks as it does? I find it hard to believe SG is leaving the covenant enforcement up to 3 people. This is stupid. I am putting my house up for sale soon.

The other day driving through our lovely weed infested community I noticed Billís house (the prez) being treated for weeds. The company doing the work is owned by NatureScapes. It all makes sense now. Bill, can you spell the word ethics?
How many other board/committee members are letting this company treat their lawns?

Where'd you get that idea? Houses in SummerGrove go for prices as low as in the $100,000s, not exactly a price point targeting the wealthy.
