Brain cells. Sadly those can't be purchased.I want to watch the city try to demolish the 2 unfinished house in this DUMP.Its then, the city will be sued by the mortgage holder.Thats going to be a wonderful day when the city has to pay ten times what the place is worth for demo0lishing SOMEONE ELSES homes.
So, using your good brain cells to answer this question....Why did you purchase your "Castle" in this "Dump" ?

My My, everyone, go take a peak on the forum under "Section 8 house in Summergrove-Newnan, Ga". David, from Carrollton seems to have an alter ego of "Third House on the Left". Any comments? You really shouldn't trash where you already own your castle.

there are several people who own section 8 houses in summergrove. Its a wonderful place to buy and put tenants in the houses. This way the house is being paid for with rent and it shares the wealth amongst the different cultures that live there.

Reading the comments posted by turd house, which we now know as david in Carrollton, causes me to realize there are far more people like cindy, harley, nagrelli, hunter, scott, wild bill, steve and others than I previously imagined.

Most (not all), but most tenants do NOT take care of the property they are renting. They don’t own it so they tend to not take care of what they don’t own. And so that’s when their lack of ownership becomes a burden to neighbors as well as a liability to the association when the property is not kept to the standards of the community. Couple that scenario with the proven fact that the board, pm and poa fail to uphold the associations covenants or enforce them uniformly or enforce them selectively we have a situation where our community falls further into the stench of a cow patty.

Most people will respond to this post that I am being discriminatory. I’m not at all. Anyone who has ever been a landlord will agree. Some tenants are great, most are not. Then we get into a situation where the landlord doesn’t have the funds to properly fix what the deadbeat tenants tore up. Does everyone see the circle that’s beginning here? I realize we will never stop or improve the existence of landlords and tenants in SG, but this is where our so called leadership from the board and pm comes into play.

If the SG poa would do what our by-laws allow them to do and actually instruct them to do this blog would not even exist. There would be no reason to complain. However, the alignment of a few know-nothing individuals with a lack luster pm created a potion for complete disaster. There are those of you that are willing to take me to task over my definition of disaster. I think over the years I have put my opinions out for all to read them. Most of my predictions came true and all of what I post here is true. Although your definition of disaster may differ from mine the outcome of the last board we can all agree was a disaster. And although our current president and a few lingering morons feel that it is necessary to carry on the ideas, ideals and overall incompetence that cindy and her group exerted is simply beyond human comprehension. What’s even more incomprehensible is we, the residents of SG, continue to allow wild bill, the pm and others on the board to lead us down this one-way road of failure. We as a poa have embraced, accepted and empowered mediocrity, self indulgence which has lead to questionable fiscal responsibility, questionable ethical behavior and complete lack of poa by-laws and covenants enforcement.

The sad part is these people don't realize the mess they have created. The real sad part is we have allowed it to happen.

I agree with your point, but part of the reason people are concerned may because of (1) some of the hold-overs from the previous board and (2) the suspicion that some of the new board members were hand-picked by people no longer on the board.

Now, now Billy Boy! It seems you are Billy Boy, Little David and Third House on the Left. We really don't care how many castles you own in SG and which ones are Section 8. So, go play in the sand box and don't forget to clean your ears.

I was wondering if anyone “in the know” can answer this question. I do know one or more current board members actively checks out and participates on this site, I believe someone from the covenant committee checks out and participates on this site as well so maybe they can weigh in too.
Are regular and frequent community drives being conducted by the pm? Are frequent drives being conducted by the committee?
The reason I’m asking is with all of the rain and unusually warm weather the past few weeks the weeds are exploding in many lawns. You can tell the lawns that are treated on a regular basis and those that spot treat on occasion. Second, I see more and more trash bins being left at the side of garages and on driveways completely visible from the street. There appears to be no attempt to conceal them at all.
I believe this is what the Whoop Miester has suggested in many previous posts. These problems appear to be getting out of hand. All the talk about the problems that would arise because the Board did not and does not enforce the covenants has apparently come to fruition.

It wouldn't surprise me either if board members read these posts, but what makes you think they also post here?

Those of you that know me already know this about me, but for those that do not I keep abreast and informed of what happens with other associations in our area. The following is a very brief excerpt from the President’s statement of a neighboring association. Compare this statement with that of our own POA president’s comments. The opening paragraph reads “…….. provide insight, governance, and implement operational procedures to ensure that the association creates communication consistency, fair and balanced decision making and is fiduciary responsible so the Board protects and preserves the neighborhood’s property, amenities and financial values.……. help residents, committee members, and voting members ensure that the BOD brings continuity, order, and instills pride in the community to preserve the architectural integrity and maintains all common elements.” The person then begins to lay out a precise and well constructed plan of what their HOA will be working on and trying to accomplish. Words and phrases such as consistency, provide insight, fair and balanced decision making, fiduciary responsibility, continuity, order, instill pride, and protect and preserve are what people want to hear.

Now compare this with what wild bill wrote. Are you as embarrassed as I was when I read it? You should be. Wild bill just regurgitated what his hero (cindy) wrote previously. We already know that cindy installed the swipe card system, we know she adopted the aluminum mailbox, we know the Capitalization Fee was passed, we know cindy changed the association from an HOA to a POA, we know cindy re-selected cma and naturescapes. By the way bill, do you really think we believe the board conducted “several months of careful research” and compared “apples to apples” in renewing the cma and naturescapes contracts??? Not on your life. Especially when cindy bruce sat in a public meeting and stated her board was going to make that decision because the next board may not. Who do you think we are? Cindy and her cronies, you are one of them, made that decision to protect the pm. It’s that simple. Why does the pm need protecting? If the pm did a satisfactory job there would be no need to protect her.

Ok, as usual I got off on a rant. The only thing wild bill did in his statement was recite what the previous moron did. It says a lot about a person who so desperately wants the power and a title that they are unable to articulate a path, direction or vision for our association. So, instead our leader wants to streamline the freaking monthly meetings. We’ll save thousands with shorter meetings I’m sure. People that know how to lead use words such as consistency, fair and balanced, protect, and responsible. People that don’t know how to lead bypass and forget these words even exist. Just go back and read cindy’s bs. Good day!
