The bottom line here is my posts got you talking. My posts may have gotten you involved. My posts exposed back room deals that should not have happened. My posts exposed the roaches as those people eventually exposed themselves at the past annual meeting.

It is obvious people find it offensive when the truth comes out. Do the right thing and you give us nothing to gripe about.

You can mock me. You can slam me. You can bash me. It comes with the territory. SumemrGrove is a much better place with Cindy and her brood gone. Who can argue against that.

You haven't answered my question about "the true path those folks had in store."

Skeptic, WG is not going to give an explanation of "the true path those folks had in store." He/she dwells on the past and cannot look for anything positive in the new direction.

Go back and read all my posts and posts from other concerned homeowners. A vivid picture will be painted with broad strokes. Better yet, go back and read the monthly meeting minutes….well on second thought that’s not such a good idea as it was openly discussed that the secretary did less than a stellar job documenting the actual meeting. Apparently he only included things he felt was important.
A few noteworthy things, many homeowners felt the association grossly over spent thousands on a landscape contract and no one ever gave an explanation why. Is that smart business? There were other companies with lower bids. Many homeowners felt covenants were not made a top priority. In fact the board liaison to the covenants committee was replaced. Why? Is it fair for two people to decide who receives violation letters for covenant violations? Isn’t that a discriminatory practice when in fact all violators should receive letters? By picking and choosing when and to who letters were sent out, one could argue that was discriminatory since other violators apparently didn’t receive letters for the same violation. Why didn’t the association (homeowners) have a say in changing from an HOA to a POA? Can you say non-transparent! Several board members appeared at a public hearing in support of the association president on a personal and NON-Association endeavor. It appeared as though the association (homeowners) were in favor when the association as a whole was not and should not have been involved. The pm apparently used association time and supplies resulting in the use of association funds to write a letter to the city on behalf of the association president in support of the personal NON-Association endeavor with the city. The board approved contracts outside of normal protocol. Why? The board allowed personal and confidential homeowner information to be displayed in front of other homeowners.
These are just a few examples that have already been discussed here and on the SummerGrove intranet. In my opinion these and other examples put SumemrGrove on a path destined for problems. To address others that my comments have inflamed, I am not one to sit back and complain without being involved. I am involved. How can anyone say any of this was positive and these were just a few examples? Don’t forget deliberant and belligerent actions of several board members towards homeowners at the monthly meetings. What’s positive about that? What’s positive about banging one’s fist on a table? What’s positive about telling people to shut up, sit down and be quite? Are you serious? You have the gall to say I can’t find anything positive and I’ve just scraped the surface. This is not living in the past. The past dictates who we currently are; we have to change the present to change our future. Past board members set the tone and the path for future progress. Personally, I saw very few positive things come out of the Town Hall. What about you?

WG you nailed it. You forgot to mention one important fiasco. The modification group approves anything and everything. No rules or standards are considered. Serious changes need to be made there.

You know what? Take a look at the Board and most committee heads. Nothing but a bunch of the "Good Ole Boys" club. We all know that a group of men running ANYTHING need a woman to organize and get things done. Let's get one more year over with and elect some women on the board and committees. Clueless is what I mean!!!

I remember several years back when an unknown female stood up at an annual meeting to give her speech as to why the residents of SummerGrove should vote her to the board. The last comments she made in her speech was it’s about time a woman was on the board. One question now comes to mind. How did that work out for us? I have nothing against females being on the board....as long as they have SummerGrove in their best interest and are able to put their own motives and agendas aside. That goes for men as well!!

You say women should be on the board? If I recall weren’t there two woman on the ballot this past election? Consider the motives of those that controlled the election……they sabotaged one female candidate and appeared to have a personal gripe with the other.

Most committee heads are good ole boys? Hmmmm…… Pool committee is headed by Nita. Nita’s husband is a former board member. Tennis committee is headed by Jeannie. Landscape committee is head by Lana. Lana is a personal friend of Cindy and is the one responsible for the continued bilking of the association, by NatureScapes, of thousands of dollars with over priced landscape contracts. Two of these committees have the largest budgets in our association.

While all this is going on the pm is laying low. Maybe someone should turn their attention to that position. Open your eyes to the inadequacies. Maybe we need a man as pm??????

ok, so I made a mistake about committee chairs being all men. however, we certainly don't need a man as pm, just a different company, maybe? but, and a big but here...any pm is only as strong as the board guides/allows them to be.

I’m sure this is no surprise to most that read this, but I agree that SG should look into partnering with another property management company. But then again Cindy took it upon herself to sign a new contract with cma when that decision was to fall with the new board. I don’t agree with your last statement Bystander. A board has nothing to do with a pm’s work ethic, integrity, skills, abilities and attitude.

A board should not enable or support mediocrity.

So funny, had to refresh my memory bank on that one. So, WG is the wildest man/woman in congress (SG) and who might be the rogue CIA agent that is going to change the history of SummerGrove?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, but if a PM isn't measuring up, the board can and should tell the PM to shape up. If a PM falls sufficiently below expectations, then the board could ask the management company to assign a different PM.

You seem to be unaware of the recent history of Cindy and SummerGrove. She and her lackeys commandeered SummerGrove resources for her personal benefit. If you need specifics, just ask.

FYI, this newly elected board will not do the great job of the past board. A few are clueless. I can only hope our community will continue to thrive under new leadership.

SG Proud, "this newly elected board will not do the great job of the past board. A few are clueless". Oh, Say it ain't so!! Your girl Cindy hand picked and supported most of the clueless on this board.I'm glad you are starting to see things like the rest of us. This board appears to be as bad as the last.

Wikki, I wish I were as optimistic as you are about this board. I have confidence in only 3 members, which is the minority. The other 4 appear to continue with the diluted vision Cindy propagated. They are clueless.

Skeptic, to clarify my comment I feel our pm severely lacks in a lot of crucial areas. I feel the pm lacks in areas that are vital to the proper running of our community. A board should tell a severely lacking pm to shape up. Problem is our board can’t see the forest for the trees. Instead of running this association as a business, which it is, it is run like a haphazard after thought and our community has suffered and will continue to suffer until the 4 aforementioned board members are gone. Wild Bill and the others need to stop making excuses for the pm and stop excepting the excuses from the pm. Doesn’t accountability mean anything anymore?

Drive through SG. I mean actually drive through more than just your street and take notice of the massive amounts of weeds already germinating in untreated lawns. I am anxious to hear how many weed letters will be generated over the next few weeks. This is one of the lasting effects Cindy’s and the pm’s “turn the other way” policy has created. For two years there was very little enforcement of SG’s weed policy. Now we are paying for it. Maybe the three musketeers will gain a better foothold with the “new” board. I somehow see this as a fight with this group too.
