The drowning refugees and those dying in the backs of trucks illustrate the need for a fresh look at immigration.

Probably nobody is anti-immigration. Anti-ILLEGAL immigration is another matter.

America is tired of the false narrative of the liberals in Washington and the media. It is starting to make the American people very angry.

This is one of the reasons why Trump is so far ahead in the polls. We must root out this kind of crap (the liberals) from positions of power in Washington and the media.

Republicans have control of both the house and the senate, but it's liberals who won't do anything?

Precisely!!

Immigration is fine as long as those wishing to become Americans follow our rules.

Those who will not follow our immigration laws are the very definition of those we do NOT want in the US.

Is there a plan to fill the Rio Grande with Piranha fish so these dead bodies will be eaten and not get to shore? But won't that take a few years to accomplish?

So why not have the military set up on our side and shoot them before they enter the water on their side? Then the dying and stinking mess would be in Mexico where it belongs.

Another idea I have heard is a bounty on them, same as other varmints, and then the outdoors men will haul them to the border. And for a lot less than it takes to feed them. So give them say 60 days to get out before the law allowing for their round up goes into effect.

They could maybe work out something with GreyHound to haul anyone wanting to go back to Mexico. Cost the government some, but it gets them home the best.

So those that do not take the 60 days notice and free ticket back are considered open game.

The dead kid in the picture is just one body, there are thousands more dead.

Most of the dead migrants were on boats. The boats were DRAGGED OUT TO INTERNATIONAL WATERS or the waters of other countries and left there to die or face brutal violence by so-called "civilized" countries like Italy and Australia.

When people die on the ocean, nobody hears them scream. You can be sure rich governments will start banning video cameras to prevent any documenting of the genocide.

Here's a novel idea: How about helping the countries htese people are leaving instead of robbing them and supporting murderous dictatorships? If people can live freely, safely and have enough to eat, they won't want to migrate. If your response is "Who cares?", you're no better than or different from Saddam Hussein, the Kim family or the murderous Sudanese government.

Or making people's lives better in the countries they are trying to leave. People migrate because there is no food and/or there is constant threat of being murdered or raped. The only time in history I can recall thousands fleeing a (relatively) safe country was yanks going to Canada to avoid the draft for Vietnam.

Some Egyptian billionaire claims he wants to buy a greek or Italian island to create a country for the refugees

Aren't there any islands in Africa ?
Or Asia ? Or how about fixing Egypt and housing them there?

By the way no government would give up any territory for cash anymore .

Dumb @$$ reasoning. Should be asking, "When does empire building go too far ?" There is a reason WHY THEY'RE MIGRATING!!!! Who is the source of this? Look in the F'n mirror! You all balked at Dr. Paul in 2012 for explaining our foreign policy and this exact result of it. If you voted Rep or Dem, YOU are the problem. This duopoly is run by a bunch of psychotic Moloch worshiping scum, and Americans are too stupid to see it. Karma is going to visit this country in a big way. We used to be "the good guys".

Where have you been lately? Under a rock?

The Republicans have been complicit in everything the liberals in Washington have been doing. They have given Obama everything Obama has been after for the last 7 years. The Republicans are not Conservatives - they are moderate LIBERALS. Democrat Lite.

Haven't you noticed the GOP's Golden Child - Jeb Bush? He's for open borders, prefers to speak Spanish in his own country, wants to raise taxes and keep helping the Democrats destroy our culture, our Constitution, our freedom - Everything! Jeb is just a liberal dressed up as a moderate.

Right so , the bottom line is america doesn't care about right or wrong

And you can't say who started this first because we can follow that back to the beginning of time

Life is not fair, born in America is like hitting the natural lottery. People have no clue about that.

But here is the truth here and now
Western culture is superior to all others and we have to protect that
Equal rights and freedom don't exist in a big part of the world. And don't give me that Sweden and Netherlands crap because they are one Muslim baby boom from sharia law becoming legal in their countries.

Really think about it, sometimes you have to fight

Australia started turning refugees boats away five years ago. Since then, there has been only one refugee boat in its territorial waters.

One.

That's how you prevent the deaths of thousands of economic migrants, along with their children.

I see that there are pieces of shit out there (those who downvoted) who would willingly and happily leave people to drown in the ocean.

And they would fire on the boats to cause them to sink. How very christian of them.

How about taking them in just long enough to get them on the next aircraft on a one way flight back to their country of origin?

We need to make it painfully clear that if you enter or attempt to enter the country illegally that you will be forced to return to the country of origin.

This is why I am in favor of asset forfeiture laws for illegals. Give them six months advance notice. After that, if you remain in the country we will take EVERYTHING you have (bank accounts, land houses, cars, jewelry, etc.) AND then deport you. Couple that with active searches for illegals any time the interface with the government, such as schools, public assistance, emergency rooms, traffic stops, etc).

Do this and the bulk of the illegals will self deport. If they leave on their own they may petition to return legally through the US Embassy in their home country. If we deport them they have to wait five years to apply.

Your kindness is overwhelming! I suppose you are not aware that the original invaders of the US were immigrants from Italy, Ireland, etc. Are you buying into the made up story of immigrants from South and Central America bringing drugs and crime into the US? If that is the case you are very biased and bigoted. Why don't you look up the data before forming an opinion. And don't look to Donald Trump for the truth! He is a biased and bigoted asshole!

Are you referring to pre or post American Revolution. If it was pre-Revolution than any immigrants were under the rules of Great Britain if there were any.

Post-Revolution until post Vietnam, virtually all immigration was legal and above board. Not everyone who arrived was allowed into the country. Not all of those were allowed to become citizens.

I don't care so much where an immigrant comes FROM as long as they follow our immigration laws, learn English, work to support themselves, and take the classes for naturalization. I do think that the US should disallow dual citizenship. You are either an American or you aren't. Pick a country, it's up to you.
