If proven successful in a human model, this newly published technique may prove highly beneficial to kidney disease patients who may have been in the transplant waiting list for many years. Patients may be treated through dialysis in the absence of kidney transplant but I heard that thousands of people awaiting kidney transplant die every year. I also came across some posts at http://www.dialysisinjuryhelpline.com/ and found out that certain dialysis medications may also be responsible for elevated risk of cardiac arrest in some patients.
