Now that the northern beltway has been approved why can't we run a greenway along it. It's time to save money and combine projects. If a greenway actually ran parallel to a road the greenway could be used not just for family enjoyment but for true transportation to and from work while also allowing serious cyclists routes that do not endanger themselves. Winston-Salem talked big when we lost a Summit Teacher riding a bike to work yet nothing has been done over 10 yrs later. Embarrassing! Now that I have lived elsewhere in 2 other states and are returning to WS I am happy to be with family but disappointed that we are so far behind central PA and even Alabama.
