Do not remember any of these names except Sayers and Smith. I grew up in Clementon in the 50s and 60s.I lived in Pine Vally near the golf course. I went to school with Judy Sayers, I lived on Overington Ave, where the Smiths lived. Georgine was one ot he kids lived there than. My mom took us to watch the fireworks EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT. When I was older ( 13 to 15 ) I went to the ballroom dances when LARRY BROWN. Thats when I thought BOBBY RYDELL was the greatest.I went to the primary school and WT GIbbs. Graduated from Gibbs in 58. They were the days when you could walk that road the park and not worry about being picked . Wish we could live like that now. I have been in Central Florida since 1983 . Like it here but nothing like good old Clementon. write me if any one remembers me

Wow all these memories have brought tears to my eyes. I lived next door to MCCreary and knew Dick Hegemen. I hung around with Beverly Hughes and later Cass Casey joined us. My brother Denny was best friends with Paul Feckite ( not sure of last names spelling). We tried a few times to get into the golf course. Judy Sayers remembers her and I having lunch on the grass outside the fence at the golf course.I have some wonderful memories of Clementon. I loved the lakes and the sand lot near Apple Lake and the park. My MOM worked at the park at the first aid stand. Those were the days. will never leave the mind. my email is floridaelvisfan@cfl.rr.com If anyone remembers me please contact me would love to hear from you. I remember Jose S saw you at the 50th reunion, what a blast that was. I also remember Al Garrity. Take care and wish you all HAPPY DAYS

It's incredible how many Clementonians migrated to Central Florida......

I moved to Orlando as an adult and after about 20 years reconnected with a hole bunch of my childhood friends from Clementon....nearly all of whom moved to Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Winter Garden, Ocala.....

I lived in Lindenwold and graduated from LCCRHS in '52. In '51/'52 I worked in the store next to the movie, making sandwichs, sundies, sodas, etc. I can't remember the name of the store anymore. I remember at the park, there was a ride where you steered the car, in and out, trying to make it bounce. I also remember, out on the pike, by Pine Lake, a little trailer that sold steak sandwichs. Problem is, I can't find anyone who remembers it.

Barbara, That ride you are talking about , was that the flying saucer or the bumper cars? Did you know Irene Hunter? She did not graduate but went to the gibbs school, she is probably a little younger than you , she would have graduated in 55 or 56. I live in Titusville Fl. which is near Cape Canavanal , Coco Beach. I sure would like to meet someone I knew in those days. I was born in 43 so anyone that lived there from around that time to 64 I was living around the Clementon area. I lived in Philly for a few years with my first husband but was back in Jersey from about 68 till 83 when I mover to Fl. whit my second husband and we are still here after 30 years. Hope someone remembers me and will contact me. Would love to hear from you Clementonians.

early 60's there was was an incident at " horseshoe jump" where several kids were digging a cave but I thought all were ok, although rescue was brought in to dig one boy out all were saved. This was on branch ave across from dump

Hi Ron, my family lived in Pine Grove and knew your father and mother and and all the kids in the Grove. My parents were Jim and Eleanor Regan, my brother Jimmy, sister Nancy, Joan and Barbara and my niece Tara and nephews Keith and Patrick, we absolutely loved it down there. We all have fond memories of the Grove and the Hall, especially on the 4th of July with all the contest; pie eating and also the races on the ballfield. I think your parents and all of us should have a reunion, what a fun experience that would be to see everyone again.

I remember swimming in Apple lake with your family. I was just a
kid then and don't remember specific names but my brother and sister and I remember the Hegeman and Sproul names. On July 4th
they would always have a softball game at the sand lot and all kinds of games for the kids. Later that evening, we would all go
to the Association Hall for more fun and games.
I'm glad I found this site. So many great memories of my childhood
growing up. BTW, my grandmother's house was on Overington Ave and
her name was Emma McCreary. The best part of every spring was when she would buy the 'tags' for the lake and my bro, sis and I would pin the tag on our swimming trunks for the upcoming season.

Hi Jane: Was your parents' house on Point Breeze Avenue? My grandparents lived at 21 during the summer and my cousin Linda and I used to play with DeeDee and Jimmy Regan. Linda stayed all summer with her mom and our grandparents. My parents and I used to go there every weekend. I have the best memories of those summers. Still miss it!

OMG! Did I and my friends have fun at Clementon Park. one friends dad worked the whip and gave us piles of free tickets to use. we never bought any. the fun house and that ridiculous laughing lady in there always made me laugh. we lived in Lindenwold from 1952 -1960 I worked at the Triangle and got my friend Pat a job there to. every weekend we walked there and hung out. don't know how many times we were thrown out of the movies. that little old lady that ran it had a time with us. chasing us all over the place. LOL. anyone remember her? bought my new pair of the latest white buck loafers there. we could go thru that park with eyes blindfolded. then, came those great dances with Dick Clark Saturday nights. they were the best. ah, what great and wonderful memories. still have all my autographed picutures from all the singers at the dances. as someone said earlier, we took it for granted.

Anybody remember the name of the ride that was next to the cat game. You sat in a car & went through double doors into the dark where scary things would pop up in front of you & at some point air would blow up from the floor. We would always hang out in the goofy house's crooked room for it seemed like hours. How about the magic carpet at the end of the goofy house. You'd sit on the bench, the guy pulled the lever, the bench would collapse and away you went down the canvas belt going over the bumps. Gee it sure didn't take much to humor us back then did it? Remember the old beat up animals along the route that the train would take you, I believe there was a zebra & a tiger with the paint half off. Any other critters anyone remembers?
Take care fellow Clementon fans
