Vote NO on May 9th....No to the FIFTH Liquor election the city has had to endure, and NO to Brenda Hall. The "benefit" of bringing money to the city should pretty much be null and void at this time. If the article in the Cleburne Times Review is correct, and each election costs approx.$45,000 to run...Rio Vista is paying for this one, so how long would it take to recover that hit??? Give it up. Oh, and "baby girl from Dallas"...beer has been sold for years, that is not what this election is about. Vote No people, and show someone that she cannot "bully" her way into a profit in this town once and for all.

For those of you that voted no, what do you have to lose or gain in this election, I mean seriously. Some people actually use alcohol to cook with. Selling it inside the city limits hurts no one and actually helps the city. If you would just give it up and vote YES, we wouldnt have had a FIFTH election. But it is because of the small-minded, ignorant people that it has gone this far. Guarentee you if it didnt pass, there will be another one too!!!!

Talissa from Houston..I have lived here pretty much all of my life. Not in Houston, but in Rio. I have two kids, one teenager who drives 174 everyday, and one who will be shortly. I myself have almost had a wreck from some idiot trying to get to the liquor store. I also have worked in the criminal justice field for the last 10 years. The statistics speak for themselves...and as a parent I absolutely have the right to do anything I can to help keep my kids and my town safe. Ignorant... are the people that only think of themselves and their pocketbooks. The city will not be helped by this election...the city had to pay thousands for the election. Where is the profit for the city in that? This election was all about the personal gain of a few. There is more to life than cheap profit. Now go drink you another one, if you're even old enough. Just stay off of our roads.

there will be 50 more local options elections if there have to be. this town will not be bullied by certain people. the one who wants it to pass so much, should be the one to pay for it, not the city. RIGHT?

The liquor stores have been in rio for 5 years now and there have been no wrecks or prostitutes or any other problems have occurred since it passed. So how did all that complaining and lieing work out for you. Find something else to do besides talk about something you know nothing about. I'm sure the city like the sales tax that they get every month because they sure dont turn it down.
