Hulk Hogan's son sent to jail for 8 months for crash

A judge in Florida says the 17-year-old son of wrestler Hulk Hogan should serve eight months in jail for reckless driving.

i dont think he got long enough, i think he should have gotten the full term. this families life is ruined their son will never be able to care for himself again and its nicks fault.i think celebrities get off way to easy just because of who they are if it was anyone else, a nobody so to speak they would have thrown the book at them.its sad to see how our society deals with situations like this. i feel for the boys family. i think nick needs to take a hard look at what he has done. and i think the parents need to get control of their spoiled rotten kids.

I do know kids that were good kids that made one horible mistake that will cost them the rest of their lives. When you sentence these kids to time in jail you might as well finish them off for the rest of their lives as finding any good employment. You just don't know when your kids could go out some night and try to show off in front of others and end up in that situation. You read about it every day. Even though he is a spoiled rich kid because of his noteriety he probably won't see any jail at all because of apeal process.

I think the punishment was appropriate. Sure Hogan's son was irresponsible in his driving, but it's not his fault that the injured passenger wasn't wearing a seatbelt. If the passenger had the common sense to buckle up, his injuries would probably be much less severe.

Looking at the car after the crash, wearing a seatbelt would hardly make much of a difference. I'm surprised that Nick came out alive. As for his sentance, he is getting off far too easy because he is Hulk Hogan's son. I heard about his first meal in jail. Turkey w/chicken gravy, rice, and peas and carrots. That's a meal fit for a king. He is the only minor in that jail too and is kept away from all the rest. He might be only doing 8 months but with good behavior he will get off early. What a way to go.

Frankly,'Dave', things like this wouldn't be happened if we offered place in our communities where teenagers with a 'need for speed' can race without having to worry about hurting someone else.
Also, I have NO sympathy for the family of the person who was seriously injured, because he CHOSE to get in the car that day with Hulk Hogan's son.
No one FORCED him to stay in the car, and he was probably getting a kick out of it until the crash.

Wow Chirstopher you are a truly clueless tool. At 17 Nick was a professional drift racer so he had plenty of opportunity to fill his "need for speed". Seatbelt or not, this former Marine hero didn't deserve for that cocky little prick to race someone and lose control of daddy's car.

his friend was at fault to,im sure this is not the frist time he was in a car with nick racing,he should have been smart enough not to get in a car with a drunk friend driving,so his friend got something he didnt bargin for,and nick got what he deserved...im shocked he went to jail...maybe there is hope for this country after all

I feel the judge distributed a fair sentence. I'm surprised he got any jail time. He got his license suspended for 3 years, and had to pay a fine. Better than NOTHING!
