Is chiropractic care right for you?

There are 40 comments on the Examiner.com story from Jan 26, 2012, titled Is chiropractic care right for you?. In it, Examiner.com reports that:

Some people become a little cynical when a Chiropractor recommends regular or multiple office visits in order to resolve an issue or to maintain good spinal health though no one really thinks twice when their dentist recommends regular visits and they don't often find it peculiar when an optometrist suggests them.

Its very unprofessional and unrealistic how some individulas judge doctors of chiropractors who literally get so many patients back to life with out going under knife.! I suggest those of you who have no idea what chiroparctors do( what they are basically able to offer you as a primary physican who are listed under qualified medical board exminers ) to research more and gain more knowledge and information in regard. I feel sorry for the loosers and poor uneducated people who call a primary physican and by whom a lot of patients every day gain more motion and ability to live their life to their fullest ,,"quakers". God bless "Doctors of Chiropractic" .Hopefully one day most of us choose alteranative non-medicine chiropractic care instead .

How many times to you get braces checked? How many times do you go to a physical therapist?
Can you work out once a month and get great muscle building results?
Yet people still want a chiropractor to "fix" their pain in one visit.
It takes time.. there is a limitation of matter.

Comparing chiroquackers who click spines with activator devices to a legitimate profession like dentistry is quite stupid.
Like I said, these quacks will try to rope you into needless expensive lifetime care.
Glad to see the quacker BDC is still around. He conveniently fails to renounce all the bizarre claims made by his fellow quackers here on "topix".
Just in the last few days his colleagues have claimed that they can cure deep wounds, adhd, eczema and epilepsy.
Like I said, it doesn't matter how outrageous the claim is, these quacks are all alike.
But BDC is a hit and run quack. Make some silly claim that he can straighten spines by pushing on the back. Claiming to cure things like scoliosis ..... Beyond stupid. Typical.

True. It's all an insurance scam! Big time. Biggest tactic- fear mongering. When a family member came to me considering going off some necessary medications because a quack told her they were essentially poison, I couldn't believe the audacity of this crew to even consider doling out medical advice. He even went as far as to ask her to change deodorants because he didn't agree with an ingredient in her current brand. Get serious.
They cannot write prescriptions ( over the counter Ben gay doesn't count) and do absolutely nothing to help people. A back rub does absolutely nothing for long term problems.
See a real doctor. These people are charlatans of the worst kind. At the very least they will milk you out of money. Worst -you could lose your life by not getting real medical help.
The offices are a front to peddle stupid gadgets they are taught to invent in school. Maybe to help pay off their massive student loans, I don't know.

I agree with you Fara. My chiropractor is great! I visit him 2 times/ week and I reached a scale of 2 out of 10 since my first visit ( it was 8/10). I can walk better and move better. Thank you Doctors of Chiropractic for truly helping me to put away those hydrocodons and vicodins! ugh

There is no guarantee chiropractic will work for all conditions but if the patient is compliant you can achieve a greater level of optimal health!!!

Your body will appreciate it later too, chronic use of medications only cause further complications!

dumbass ortho siad, "There is no guarantee chiropractic will work for all conditions"

No kidding?

Outside of generic manipulation working for some uncomplicated nonradiculopathic conditions, please provide the evidence that any specifically "chiropractic" technique is good for anything. take your time dumb ass.

Oh how I love the posts from people who know nothing more about chiropractic than they "went to a chiropractor" posting here and attempting to defend chiropractic idiocy.

"Chiroeconmics" ... 2-12, more than 50% of chiropractors would have chosen a different career path.

Gee, maybe because there is so much fraud in the damn field? It takes a while for most to realize that because the chiropractic school is filled with memorizing so much that you don't actually see the fraud and baloney until you're well into it.

All but one of my friends from chiropractic school have left the field. And all are way happier than when they were chiropractors.

I truly feel for those who see no way out. The first step is admitting to themselves that they were suckered into believing the bull crap subluxations, inside out, all techniques work, practice building hype, etc etc.

Don't give up hope. Its never too late. though for some chiropractors here, they are so filled with anger that they can't even admit that most of chiropractic is built on a scam.

This is very true. Who wants to admit they have been suckered into a lifetime of debt that they will not get paid off until old age hits.$1,000+ per month student Loan payments are tough to swallow.

What I really like are the chiropractors who blame chiropractic instead of themselves for not making it. And why not? It can't be the chiropractor's fault. No sir.
There are tens of thousands of chiropractors in this country making a fabulous living. I wonder who they blame?
Bottom line: A loser looks for someone to blame and sticks to that story. That's why they'll always be a loser.
A winner will thrive no matter what. They don't need to blame Life University.
Feeling sorry for yourself is a great national past time--enjoyed by losers everywhere.
What's even lower than a loser is wisdom. He not only was never a chiropractor, he brags about being a failed one. That's a full rung below the biggest loser.

I get your anger washboy. But you see, I've already moved on to a professional and rewarding career.

Hint:, I no longer tell people that I can find subluxations.

I actually treat very sick patients.

You can move on also, but you first have to admit to yourself that you have been defrauding people and making outrageous claims and even here, you've been making up quotes by MDs.

Its best you own up. then you can move on. best of luck mr. chiropractor.

he he he The liar and fraud, wisdom, who is NOT a chiropractor or MD wrote, "I get your anger, washboy." AHHHHHHHHHHHHH HA HA HA AH HA AH
It appears the liar wisdom has EVERYONE's anger. Just look at his anger filled posts! He uses words like moron, dumb ass, quack, and, oh yes, diaper. He's not just a loser, but a perv as well.
Folks, for years this loser, wisdom, denied being a chiroprator or an MD. But in the last two months, he not only acquired a DC degree, and an MD degree, but three, count 'em, THREE Phd's! Remarkable!
Like one MD neurologist said about wisdom, and I quote, "The poster wisdom does not represent us. He's an embarrassment to the medical community. He's just an angry flake with a warped perspective of chiropractic."
And let's not forget--last year wisdom called nurses, yes, NURSES,'quacks'. Wisdom's exact words were these,'Like chiropractors, nurses are also also quacks since neither had to take an entrance exam to get into school."
There's your expert for you.

Optimal health is not an outrageous claim. Wisdom it is clear that you are not a medical professional, as many would agree that chiropractic is beneficial.

Is it not interesting that chiropractic patients remain the most satisfied?

Much due to many don't realize that a great deal of business sense is required to be a successful chiropractor. Many would rather work for a company and shed many of the responsibilities.

Recent reports indicate that even MDs are suffering in getting into the black. The same goes with dentists in which suffer greatly from debt.

Wisdom you only make bias claims.

Please enlighten us to which school you attended. This should be interesting,

"Optimal health is not an outrageous claim"

Thanks ortho, you've added so much.

Your comments indicate that you know nothing about the more than 200+ bizarre chiropractic "treatments" currently being used by chiroquackers across the country. You have a lot to learn.

Ortho, even though wisdom isn't a chiropractor or an MD he admits to being a failed chiropractor. Wisdom is like the moon--neither shows any signs of intelligent life.
