You realize that the county sheriff's departments have very little law enforcement power in the State of Pennsylvania, right? They can pull someone over for speeding or for traffic violations if they see it happen but they can't run a traffic detail like the state or local cops do. They can't respond to emergency calls unless requested by state or local cops. They basically serve warrants, guard the court house and transport prisoners from one place to another. The sheriff's departments are probably the most underutilized resource in the state because of the way the laws are written. To say George DeHaven has the "power" to get his brother out of trouble is laughable. Especially considering George DeHaven is a joke within the sheriff's department as it is. Ask some of the other sheriff's deputies about him and see what they tell you. Besides, just because someone got into a fight, doesn't mean criminal charges will be filed. If neither party involved in the fight wants to press charges, there's nothing to be done.

Frank observed an individual assaulting his wife/girlfriend,and stepped in to intervene.Things got ugly, and Frank defended himself. That guy that mixed it up with Frank got what he deserved for beating on a woman. So sorry about his luck.Moral of the story: Don't get drunk & stupid, and start beating on a woman. That guy should have been charged, not Frank.

Okay here's what really happened. Brian McCombs was on top of his girlfriend (Anna Harris) punching her in the head. I removed him from on top of her and told him don't ever hit another woman. He then smacked me in the face knocking my glasses off. I hit him 1 time. I then left him get up. A few minutes later the police arrived. This has nothing to do with where I work. I will always stop a guy from beating on a woman no matter if I get my ass kicked or not. As far as my brother keeping me out of trouble. He was upset I even got involved.

This type of thing happens often at bars.

The R Bar has a sign that says "We Love This Bar".

Stay classy, Clearfield. Or Hyde.

I don't think any of you have any room to talk about any dehaven....
I happen to know them very well. And both of them are very nice guys, who would do anything for anyone. Before you judge them, get to know them.

I've been to ccj a couple times (not proud of it). In all honesty dehaven is an asshole while at that place, i guess you sort of have to be. I never liked him. But, after reading about him stopping a drunk from beating a woman, that gained my respect. again, good job dehaven

You'll probably be back at the jail soon so you'll be able to tell him in person.

Leave the guy alone. I know him from when I was in for child support. Ill admit he can be hot headed at times but hey thats his job. Besides if you had to put up with some of the idiots that go to jail you would be to.
He is hard but he is fair.
When u see him out have a beer with him hes alot of fun.
