Any suggestions for a professional photographer for senior pics? Not really worried about price but am looking for someone who knows what they are doing, not just someone with a camera. Thanks.

I'm dumbfounded at what some people are calling awesome or excellent pictures, not just here but on the Facebook and websites of some of these so-called photographers. Most of these people would not have a clue how to use a camera in full manual mode and simply rely of the auto mode for pictures, getting lucky sometimes and taking average pictures most of the time. I can see from a lot of the pictures that many have no clue about lighting or even posses anything resembling a proper flash. I cringe when I am at a wedding and some "photographer" is there with their Rebel and maybe a Speedlight. What a joke photography has become with the advent of pro-level performing cameras available to the consumer masses.

A couple of those mentioned in this thread will give you great results but most are just some person with a camera who thinks they are another Steve McCurry or Dorothea Lange.

so who do you recommend? That's what the kid asked for. Not for a general comment.

I didn't give a recommendation because I didn't want to be accused of being a shill.

Since you asked, of those listed here, Paul Dale. He has the proper equipment and knows how to use it from my experience.

BTW, my general comments may prevent someone from spending money and being disappointed. While senior picture can be redone, wedding pictures usually cannot and many of these people listed here tout they do weddings.
