You can tell when a poser posts on here. Know why they can't get a mining permit? Maybe because they got out of the mining business 10 years ago! People without a clue posting for no good reason.
The fact guys are hired everyday and sit at home is a very good reason to bitch. Bitching about Bill Shaw and how he charged Walker before the election is pretty dumb. No one cares. Also, does he really think he would win otherwise???? He was a noob wannabe politician

But then again the more I think about it, Bill Shaw Jr. won by about 3800 votes in 2007, and only 180 in 2011 so some people must care. And the people griping about not getting work are probably fakes trying to pose as employees (or their spouses).

No work

but

Hiring again? WTF

Then again, the more I think about it, Bill Shaw will win like every election, and Walker will not win any political ground as long as he lives. The more he hates Bill Shaw, the more he advertises his name. The people griping about not working are probably REAL because I know of at least 3 Shortfuse workers that bitch everyday about how they were hired - BUT NO WORK. Explain this to me, what's their motive to hire people to sit at home? Is that even a job?

You idiots sticking up for Shortfuse because your the 3 Musketeers they'd bend over and take it up the butt for, you are only 1% of their working force, so shut the hell up. There's no point in trying to stick up for each other when at least 30 workers are sitting at home all week. WE OUTNUMBER YOU.

You obviously haven't done any work in the gas field. Production is very up and down, driven by volatile price swings. The need for water trucks is also very volatile. We either need them 24 hours a day, or we don't need them at all. Drivers in this industry get alot of hours in concentrated periods, and they know that going into this industry. Many of them accept the swings in hours for the tradeoff of being home every night. Companies hire when they believe there is going to be an upswing in activity, so even though drivers may not get hours right away they eventually will. I hope this answers your question.
WELL SAID.

Sounds to me like the crybabies that were either unable to do the job, or let their bad attitudes and tempers get their dumb asses fired need to grow the hell up and move on with their lives. What's the matter, grass not so green on the other side. If you made out better I am happy for you, if not Shut up, nobody really cares what you have to say anymore.

All, I have to say is WOW! The ones that put Shortfuse on a pedestal are crazy! They should know better than to hire and then not work people! Those guys have a right to be upset! The problem is the office staff all have their Kephart mentality still! Who cares about the drivers as long as "We" get a paycheck! The amount of backstabbing and drama that goes on there is astounding! One of the biggest problems is the person that does the hiring! And then the ones that follow right behind like lost puppies! Yes, You will have problems at any job but, just way to much drama! All, I can say is for the drivers that are still there, get out while the gettin is good! Shortfuse makes alot of Promises and they try to talk a good talk! But in the end they will be their own worst enemy!
Wow, you even know the people in the office? Proof again that this is a former employee that couldn't cut it with this company and is now on a vendetta.

And as far as hearing him talk about about it he doesnt talk to any of you or any of the drivers again the whole, We have moved on!! So check your facts!!!As far as, I'm concerned this is done! The hater on here is right. Confirmed with Shortfuse staff and CEOs alike, the new employees get 10 hours per week maximum. Most get 0.

DRIVERS WANTED local trucking company seeks part and full time drivers since one employee earned 11 working hours in one week and made more than $150. Apply in person at Shortfuse Trucking, Bigler.

The owner should understand economics. When there's a surplus, the price decreases. In this case, the price is the employee's paycheck.....

The economics of it is that when gas prices are low, no one is drilling gas because the cost of production is greater than profit. No one saw this coming. Maybe someday it will turn around. You are all barking up the wrong tree. There is no work in natural gas. Not anyone's fault, just the dynamics of of our economy. Quit placing blame. If you can do better in some other field in central PA then do it! Stop bitching. Start your own business.

Where are you people getting your bad information? I see this company's trucks running everywhere. My sister-in-law has a good friend that works there and said they are all busy and get the best benefits.

You better check your facts, and lose the apparent anger.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.....answer the question that started this thread. Why are they hiring when the guys that already work there are not getting any hours.

Oh, thats right, they can say, "we have 50 employees, long how much we do for the community" Brag, brag, brag.

I see trucks running all the time as well. Your sister-in-law's brother's friend's sister's friend must be one of the top 3 or 4 workers that work daily while everyone else sits around and wait for nothing.

The apparent anger emerges because you only give certain people all the work while the others sit at home. THEY ARE NOT all busy. I don't know where you get your information, but you and your mother/brother/friend must either be a) the owner, b) up the owners ass, or c)friends with the owner.

FURTHER, anger builds because despite all these conditions, more and more people are hired. The employees do not deserve this shit. By the way, I get all my information from the employees, straight from the tit bud. No hard feelings. I recently quit here, but it really bothers me to see so many innocent people be taken advantage of.

And there you have it folks, an employee that didn't make the standards this company set. "No hard feelings," just the need to vent on a blog. You obviously still don't have work, or you wouldn't be on here wasting everyone elses time.

you are all funny, im sorry but everyone of you that works there or has worked there came to the company for a job just like i did, they didnt randomly go through a phone book and pick your name out and think "i want this person working here" if you are unhappy there move on and go somewhere else, instead of moaning and groaning, everyone of you are adults and seriously you all sound like children, booo hooo hes getting more hours than me ummmm darwin maybe some of them have been there since the company started and paid there dues by only working 1 or 2 days a week, or they were the ones who were out there in the field establishing a relationship with the customers 2 help get morework. get a clue i dont think there are any chains holding any of the employees there and being that this is america you still have freedom of choice so chose to move on stop boo hooing about everything.
I don't know why you stand up for them when they shit on you and the rumors spread like fire over there about you. Open your eyes...don't stand up for your enemy.
