our union contract is up with kurts bros. so we have been in negotiations this past week, they have been taking and taking from us for years. now they want to take our spouses off our insurance they expect us to pay for the cost of this but not give us any kind of pay increases, also take away days off, vacations classified jobs etc, it time we stand up, we have given enough. why don,t the high paid salary people who run this company, take a pay cut or give up there time off. one of which is a chinaman, this isn,t china its the united states we aren,t chinese we are american and anyone who agrees with him, or is on there side is un-patriotic don,t you think?

Go find a new job! You should be grateful to have ANY job right now. Quit complaining, either find a new job or suck it up.

It's unpatriotic to not know how to spell the name of the company you work for.

my husbands company doesn't allow any spouse that is employed by another company and can get insurance thru their company on his company's insurance. luckily where i work fulltime employees are coved completly but who knows how long that will continue.if i were to have to cover my husband about 450 a month.so your lucky you can still cover your spouse.i think that's the new trend unfortunatly for the U.S..when do the companys ever want to give you anything they always want something given back. good luck on your contract .

Seems to me there is always somebody standing around at one of the garage doors near Napa. They must work you pretty hard down there, suck it up or leave. Parking lot seems full of new vehicles as well, so the current benefits structure must be nice. Let us know if you leave so I can apply for your job.

Good luck if you strike. A picket lines needs every able body it can use. Maybe you could load up an iPod with spelling lessons and listen to them while you're out there.

After all, there's no shame in signing your paycheck with a big X but should the strike go badly, filling out new job applications with a X on every line might not be a good thing.

Also, how do you know management doesn't or hasn't taken lower concessions in the past? It's a safe bet you're not in accounting so what's your source?

What union are you under? Do you get or have strike pay? And if so, how long does your coverage last? Spousal contribution is the only giveback they're asking? Without any specifics how can anyone on here know if your should strike or not. This just sound like a garden-variety break room union-hates-company discussion.

Are you saying union workers are stupid or just KURTZ Bros. workers ? And I don't need to sign my paychecks because they are direct deposited . Take a look at your spelling you waste of air !
