A small country bar, trying to provide a place for folks to relax and enjoy some good old entertainment. Mitch is giving his best, the folks working for him are trying to run a tight ship, and even though I am not a drinker, I think that these little out of the way places do no harm to my community. Iknow, what? You don't like it, don't go...simple fix!

A decent dive bar out away from town, good staff and the prices are reasonable. If you want to go some place and hang with friends in a friendly atmosphere then this is a good place to go. If you want to go someplace to be seen then probably not the best choice. Its my preferred watering hole and KUDOs to Mitch and the Kiamichi Bar. This bar is excactly what a bar should be, a place to get a cold beer and visit with good hardworking and decent folks. Save your shined up belt buckles and Stetsons for another place, come on over to this bar in your work boots and ball cap.

I love this place....best bar I know....friendlier than anywhere else you could go. Mitchell has done slot of work on the place and goes out if his way to make you feel at home.

Very down to earth place. You can relax and listen to music all while being in a clean and out of the way place. Great place to go to unwind and visit with friends. Definitely a working class place, but, as EdW said, if you don't like it, don't go.

I have spent the better part of my 63 years in dance halls clubs and bars. Been to the big dance halls to the little bars, and many, not worth mentioning. What I see here is a young, Super Guy, trying to make it in the bar business, and doing a damn good jod at that. From day one, he has taken this little bar, with it's not so good reputation, and turned it around to where it's popularity has hit the ceiling. In this particular area, there are only 3 night clubs and on any given weekend, at least 1/2 of all the party goers will be at the Kiamichi Bar! Besides cleaning up the reputation, Mitchell strives in running a decent place, spends good money on very good bands, has built an outdoor stage and adding another 600 sq. feet to the building itself, is in the near future! I will not run down nor talk bad about anyone's bar, or means of making a living, and have to say anyone who does, is just either a low life, or just plain jealous. There are nicer places out there, but none to compair with the Kiamichi Bar's atmosphere, and the genuine frendliness of the employees & the frequent customers! I have found it very easy to like this bar, will continue to adorn it's doors, and not ashamed to tell anyone, I have been to the Kiamichi Bar!

A bouncer there, Bull, told me that our band would do great at KB's. We are from Knoxville, TN and was wondering if it was worth the time and effort to come play out ther. Any suggestions?

If this is such a great bar, then why is Heather McKosky working there? Why do people get cheated when they are buying beer and not paying attention? Why are the cops always watching them? Why are there always underage kids there? do you think that they are still selling whiskey from under the bar? I guess if you go out see what kind of trouble you can get in, then that's the bar for you.
