My neighbors and I have called the Englewood police around a dozen time in the last two years about noisy vehicles and they refuse to do anything about it. I noticed that one of the culprits is an Englewood firefighter. I have seen him in his front yard chit chatting with an englewood police that drove by, stopped to say hello. What the heck?

Like ya know, our windows are tight and closed, our house being cool and climate controled. About noisy boys, we do not bitch or whine, because we get so sleepy and are in bed by nine.

Obviously this is something that a idiotic, low-level education, early twenties single male would say. Wait until you have to get a real job and need to sleep more than 4 hours a day because you actually do something with your life. That being said, I agree with the people above this moronic post, that indeed, the tolerance of the noise in unacceptable. I live in an apt building of 8 apts, and although I will handle a certain level of noise, it is asinine to think that I should have to deal with late teen drug pushers pounding music through my walls for 10 hours a day. Just for reference, I am NOT middle aged, I'm 32. I have a 5 year old daughter and a wife. I also work 40-50 hours a week. Ever since parkside in dayton shoveled it's filth into the surrounding areas, crime has gone up, and so has the number of idiots in Englewood that don't seem to care at all about anything but themselves.
These narcissistic failures of life will never wake up, never get a real job, and will self-perpetuate the same issues over and over. This is clearly evinced by the above post. Well done sir, I hope you are happy working a dead-end job.

Anyone moving to Englewood needs to rethink that move. If I only knew then what I know now I would not have bought a home here. Englewood does not in any way shape or form enforce the no noise ordinance. Every dog owner in this town not only owns one 24 hr barking dog but two to three! I am the only homeowners in a three block radius that does not own two to three dogs that I leave in my yard 24 hrs a day barking their frickin heads off! You have to be a deaf dog owner to live in Englewood where you will be comfortable with all the other deaf kennel owners/homeowners!

A large number of 1970's-1980's Northmont people left the area altogether in the 90's / early 2000's. People who lived south of 70 generally went south of town to places like Centerville. Kettering, and Oakwood. People north of 70 tended to go to Brookville, Troy, and Tipp City.

It's interesting to hear about this because Englewood used to be one of the quietest, lease crime ridden places North of town. And the cops were always known for pulling over anyone and everyone.
