Investigating when a child speaks up about being sexually abused, and bringing the accused to trial is not a witch hunt. Trying to protect girls from subhuman predators is more than a "fruitful cause". It's hard to worry about tax money going to other things when you still have savages destroying our youth.
Yes, trying to protect GIRLS is one thing. You should see the animalistic behavior of the female juveniles at the Detention Center. They are some of the worst offenders, ruthless and violent, promiscuous, criminals in the making. Those are not 'girls', there is nothing 'girly' or innocent about those individuals. They are as much scum as their counterparts in the male population in our jails.
I know. I worked there.

This case was tried by two of the most "experienced" rosecutors in Carl Brizzi's office, and they LOST !

He wants a witch hunt of all his low level trial prosecutors for losing trials, maybe he needs to start at the top!

No ure the dumb F-their was an alleged staement in a tape, let me tell you some facts about this case.
1. It was investigated in 2000 by a Cps worker and found that the charges was untrue.
2. He kept his job and worke ther for 2 more years later.
3.In 2006 when the detectives went out to visit the alleged victim they took a photo aray with them containin 6 individuals- the alleged victim identified her attacker but the defendant wasn't in the photo array and the dectectives did nothin w/the positive identification of the man, because they had it in their mind it was the defendant.
4. Oh, by the way number four wasn't in the paper.

You claim to have read the article, perhaps you should take a moment to re-read it. It does state that the young girl's allegations were fully investigated 7 years ago ... by an institutional abuse investigator for the Dept. of Child Services (not by the police). It was a case of one state agency "investigating" allegations against another state agency. Never a good thing. To wit, when this same investigator was cross examined by the prosecution, he couldn't remember any details from his investigation 7 years ago.
What? He didn't keep notes? A report of sexual abuse from a 13 year old, against a young man who already had allegations of sexual misconduct against him, didn't stand out in the investigators mind?
I don't know if Mr. Vaughn took advantage of this young girl or not. I wasn't there. I do know, however, that being found "not guilty" in a court of law doesn't mean he didn't commit the crime. It simply means that a jury of his peers didn't believe the evidence and testimony against him supported a verdict of "guilty" based on the legal charges levied against him.
Let me Help you it was fully investigated in 2000. And as you stated when a defendant is found guilty doesn't always mean their guilty 2/double edged sword cuts both ways!

"acquittal," n. 1. The legal certification, usu. by jury verdict, that an accused person is not guilty of the charged offense.
"not guilty," 2. A jury verdict acquitting the defendant because the prosecution failed to prove the defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Cf. INNOCENT.

What law school did you go to, Dave?
You are correct Joe. I was thinking of dismissal. Not sup4063rising I made that assumption since the article said they took a whole 2 hours to complete. Considering this, shouldn't the judge have considered dismissal?:-)

Not even the top prosecutors would have helped. Not even Brizzi himself. When you have an individual who has accussed multiple different men of the same story. The person will never win. When will we get our finest prosecutors to prosecute the people falsly accusing innocent people. People can say whatever but if you don't know facts no judgement can be made against him. I known this man for 16 years we have been together. Never would he ever do this. Me and all of our family is, has and will always be with him and on his side. Ive been around this case since day one and was at trial. I am sick to my stomach at what I saw. I sat there as a stranger smiled at me cause they thought this was funny? Laughing like it was a joke? Someone accusing someone for this and smiling and laughing? As every story was told and lies flied through the court room. My family will never recover. My children have been embarrassed had to leave their home. REAL INNOCENT children. As a mother if I had told a horrible lie as a child, grew up to be a good citizen, had a child I would admit to the mistakes I made. Be a woman. Would anyone want this to happen to their child. What kind of examples are we setting. The true victims are being overlooked to investigate these bogus, accusations my dog could find a lie. One day maybe a law will be past that if you falsly accuse the innocent YOU will receive a life sentence. Just like the real victim has received!

People think that if they might get a litle money its worth a lie, distroying families, oh well they'll get over it. May be told oh girl you can get paid. Well not letting her know that the lie can cost a lot more than money. Your self worth. I hope any person who would do this has a lot of sleepless nights full of guilt. Thinking of what u would of went through if this was reversed. God does not like ugly. This is about as ugly as it gets. God will be the judge no one else will. and he was.

I barely missed serving on that jury- and I can tell you that the defense attorney was very smooth. She quickly created rapport with the jury - she was VERY good. I can't help but wonder if the results are more of a reflection of her outstanding abilities vs the actual truth? I hope justice was served - I know my fellow jurors were very serious about their role in the process, so I am inclined to go along with their decision. But I can't help but wonder.....

HI again- I just read some of the posts and it sounds as if there were real flaws in the accuser's claim that came out in the actual trial. I prayed for the case while I was sitting there as a potential juror - and we all recognized that it was going to be difficult based on the pre-questions. I'm not sure who was doing the laughing that offended, but I can promise you that the potential jurors that I was sitting with all took the procedings very seriously. There was some nervous laughter because we were all on edge - but I know we were very concerned when we heard the severity of the charge and the type of evidence involved. I was concerned enough that I looked it up a few days later to see how it went. I'm glad the accused had a good attorney- she was outstanding from the little bit that I saw. I'll continue to pray for him and his family. To be unjustly accused is an evil thing - and his children clearly ARE the innocent victims here. God Bless.

To answer the question of who had the smile and Sirks it was the so called "alleged victim" As the "sworn testimony" was givin. I sat in the court room everyone knew who I was and to be telling the stories and smile at me I was sick to my stomach. Like his life was a joke. This world is very evil and trying to keep your family positive and to believe in people is unjust in some ways today. Our children will never forget this. The nights they cried for thier dad, stayed up all night, nightmares, son now has nervous ticks from stress, and the scared hearts that they feel. As they want to know how could someone do this? Thank god values are instilled in our children and they have been strong and believe the power in God. Our family is our life and everyone who believe will never regret. As our children screamed and cried to hear their daddy's coming home at least hope was not all lost. Thank you for prayer for our family and children at sometimes hope and prayer is all you have. We are a strong familiy and knew we would over come this together. Thanks to everyone who prayed, supported, and now believe. Justice was served. And prayers were answered. God is the judge and jury, we just are here to pass on his good word and the messages we are given. Amen.

Many girls have low self-eestem. That starts in parenting not being incarcerated. When they reach that point eestem is already gone. Many girls have low eestem for many reasons. That does not give them the right to spread horrible lies. At some point in life you have to become a woman and admit to the faults YOU have made not anyone else. Self eestem makes you do many things, but this? NO, its an excuse for sympathy. Now, after all is said and done. How does a person look? What lessons will be taught to these type of peoples children. If we teach right from wrong this type of thing will not happen. When you do wrong you get punished and you learn. Many see incarceration as an excuse to blame the faults they bring on them selves. It is an excuse. I robbed the store cause I don't know no better been in and out of system. I stoled that car cause I am used to being in trouble. I killed that person cause I been in jail for 3 years and I was angry. BS its in excuse and its getting old. Grow up do whats right and be a positive citizen. You r incharge of your life not anyone else. Take charge of it and be positive. If you choose to live your life like that you shouldnt bring others with you. If anyone knows this case then they know the truth and to make stupid comments about things they dont know. If someone has been brought to justice with this acually happing to them then heck yeah lock them up for ever. But since in this case the accused didnt and would never do this you can not classify him in the same catagory. The prosecutors and detectives, judge and jury had to of seen this was a waste of time and to waste time and money was reducilous!! Why? to send another innocent person to jail? This is why we have so many cases being turned over this day in time. The ones telling stories need to be put in jail!!

If you know the man that I know that has been accused of this horrible act, then you know he is a caring loving man that worships his children and would NEVER harm anothers child. Wayne is a great man and I would entrust my life to him and he would not let me down or his kids down. That is what a real man does. The prosecutor was up for election the wonderful Mr. Brizzi was seen everywhere until the election was over the tv and newspapers and a innocent man was being charged, do you ever think they have an apology to the people they wrongly accuse , well of course not because they don't care but for 1 up on the home team. Well you lost and justice was served to a wonderful man and his heart (his children). Wayne will evercome this and he will prevail to be a happy man again. Like he is and will bein the near future.

i would like to thank you and everyone else who is supporting my wonderful husband and our family. We are overcoming more and more and day by day. This unfortunate horrible and sick act has brought our family very close. we have realized to never take any moment for granted. Family is the only thing u have to count on and not only by violence, but lies can take you away from your spouce and family anytime. its unfortunate that this world is so evil. Thanks for your support, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn and our family. We will live strong and support each other always. In the end who else is there?

You know by all the statements that have been made by you it seems that your being pretty selfish, granted that your married to him but things change all the time. Wayne and his children are the ultimate suffers from this tradegy. Wayne is a great man and I'm exstaic to know him and to be in his company. The best is indeed in the future for him and his children. Happiness lies only a distance away and not everybody can have it or deserve it and all will be presented to Wayne and his kids very soon.

Since his happiness is me and our children I am not being selfish because I have went through this with him and our children. I was in the courtroom every minute helping him fight for justice. Don't remember anyone else there. I have been here to support him and have been fighting for him. Happiness is with us every night when we eat dinner together, spend time together with our children before he leaves for work alot of people arent as lucky as we are. Life is ours again and always will be. As his wife of course i will be here for him and our family and went through the pain with him. So happiness IS OURS. Im very happy to know that u also wish happiness is in our future. Thanks again from Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn and our family.
