I have never seen so many bold bank robbers as I have this year. They see on the news that their pictures are taken, and this one is really clear. He looks like an older gentleman, and he is probably under pressure to buy for the grandchildren. Many people have already recieved their social security checks for the month, and there is nothing left. Bank robbery is a federal offense, and I guess he feels like he will not be under this pressure again if he gets himself put away. It's sad.

Old man or young taking what is not yours is not right. It is a sad time for America and many do not have what they feel they need. I would however remind you compared to the other people in the world we are blessed beyond measure. Age is not an issue when the law is applied, justice is to be blind not stupid. God forbid an officer walked in and perhaps shot a grandfater in need. I have lived a most of my life in Hendricks County and if a need is known it will be taken care by the citizens, robbery is not called for.

while i don't condone bank robbery or any robbery ... it's a very sad time of year for people who have little. It's even more sad that people resort to things like robbing banks or any other theft jsut to make ends meet.
I am by no means offering an excuse for this person, just making an observation.
What stupid comment, how do you know they were robbing it for the light bill? Probably needed to get some "snow" for a Christmas high.

You have to expect stuff like this to happen in a town that had its fire department burn down before.

Why would someone contact Detective Chuck Morefield from Hendricks County? Last time I checked the Town of Clayton has its own Police Department. The Chief is an experienced investigator from Plainfield.

Morefield is from the area. He has family in the school area. We do have a police department, but a fed crime might just need a bigger police force.
Unfortuneately, we aren';t big enough to have (or need) security gurads. I do belive this is our first.

When did the Clayton fire department burn? I've lived near Clayton for over 12 years now and I don't recall the f.d. burning in that time ... seems like Belleville's F.D. burned several years back (like 15 years or more...).
