Sirens were loud and clear at 82nd and Allisonville. Castleton Square evacuated shoppers into fire hallways and shoppers at Sears were moved to the middle of the store.

Oh come on we all know that this most definitely
has to be a combination of all the hot air and BS
coming out of the 2008 Presidential Candiates, both
Democrats Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton
that collided with that coming from Amnesty John McCain and Willard Mitt Romney and Huckster Mike
Huckabee and that VP Draft Dodger Dickey Cheney
was controlling it all, from his secret undisclosed
location, while President George W Bush was doing a
photo op and blaming Bill Clinton, while Madame Speaker Nancy Pelosi sits there blinking like a owl and keeps blabbering about how she took the
Impeachment of Bush and Cheney off the table. So
there don't blame Al Gore for it as Gore warned
us about the dangers of global arming, however was
Monroe Gray running a rowdy peashaker game at the
time the tornado hit maybe as well?

When I asked State Inspectors of their opinion as to what may have caused the damage in our neighborhood, their response was this wind had direction. So in other words we experienced a tornado. I live just off Cold Spring Road and 44th Street and in our neighborhood we lost several large trees. Our neighbor even had their roof completely torn off. Originally from Boston I've been in three hurricanes and even with sustained winds of over 90 mph I've never seen this much damage. I can say with certainty that what I heard in my crawlspace was a loud thundering roar followed by complete silence. I've never experienced anything like it before so to me it definitely wasn't wind it was a tornado.
Why does "this wind had direction" mean that it was a tornado? I wouldn't think so - straight line winds have direction, such as from the south or the west or whatever. Tornado winds are circular - they have rotation, not direction.

Oh, and strng winds can roar and then be followed by silence once the front passes.

Nice weather in Indiana. I sure don't miss those change of seasons which occur every other day. In AZ we know what we are going to have every day: sunshine! No tornadoes, snow, earthquakes, humidity, bugs, etc........
Yeah just droughts and limited fresh water supplies.
