I am working on a current fraud case generated by Tauer while he is currently serving time. He used First American Title in Avon to get the lenders funds to his girlfriend. The title agent's name is Jodi O'Neil. Does anyone know how Tauer is connected to O'Neil? To pull off his scams in Hendricks County I am assuming he had to have someone inside a title company.

I did an internet search, just to see if Eric was still in prison. I happened on this forum & was amused at some of the banter. Ruined lives? Well that's a vague term.
Our house was built by one of Tauer's "Strawman Companies". He took out a 1st & 2nd mortgage on our house. I know this because notices were left on our front door, while we were buying it on contract. When he was caught, a property management group swept in & simply kicked us out. 30 days notice. No arguement. No day in court.
All of the work we did, all of the money paid was simply gone.
In the years that followed, trying to get ahead, one rental to another. Money problems causing marital discord. Divorce. Death of a child. Would things have been different if Tauer was an honest builder or even a decent person? Who's to say.
Obviously some of these comment writers are haters, but that is justifiable. Eric is a thief. Fine he's paying his dues, serving his time, whatever. I wish things would have worked out.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck--we got the house back after considerable legal expenses. Last I heard Tauer was in the Half-Way house in Indy. Volunteers of America 600 North Capital--he may be out by now. He scammed a RN out of Chicago into loaning his girlfriend $27,809 on a re-hab--he claimed he was "A Christian Financial Counsler"
he pulled this off while he was in prison--so he hasn't changed one bit.

6 1/2 years is not long enough for this jerk. Hopefully he gets sent to a tough prison and becomes some inmates girlfriend. He will get his while he is in there. <quoted text>
