A romance between two "residents" of the virtual world Second Life has led to an attempted real-life kidnapping.

Kimberly Jernigan, 33, of North Carolina, distraught (to say the least) over the failure of her virtual romance with an unnamed 52-year-old male from Claymont, Delaware, was arrested after attempting to kidnap him. This was actually her second attempt in the past few weeks.

No, but he is 19 years older than her. In addition, it doesn't sound like she respects her elders.

Good Gawd. She sounds like that astronaut woman.

I've had a couple really good lovers in my life and after it's over I have not once tried to kidnap them let alone someone from online.

wow... she obviously suffers from delusions of grandeur. That's definitely one way to scare a man off - kidnapping for the sake of commitment.

She probably will not even care until her Second Life Player gets fined all of her cyber dollars (aka Lindens).

Proof positive that the games do not have to be violent, the people just happen to be insane.

I wonder if she was a real dog?
Most women that weren't being that lucky would have just gone to a nightclub.
