There is another side to this story. If you are dedicated to Biblical wholeness (Shalom in Hebrew), you should consider the other side. The link below reports that the removal was prompted by a compalint from a neighbor, whose car got dinged by some errant basketballs. Now if this is true, try to put yourself in THAT neighbor's shoes. How can you push back on an army of kids, and rights-oriented parents? As soon as a neighbor's car was hit, he should have appealed to the parents for protection. And as soon as the parents heard there was an offended neighbor, they should have swung into action to put boundaries on their kids, and to make peace with the offended neighbor. They effort they expend in getting their poles pack could have been better invested up-front, in making shalom in the neighborhood.
Maybe the police can play a role in getting people talking again, instead of harbouring a neighborhood standoff.
