I heard it through the grapevine that a proposal was offered for the old location of the bank by Krispy Kreme Donuts.
I believe that the discount cigarette outfit and Al's pawnshop (adult tobacco smoking supplies...)should move to Kansas or even Northmoor or Riverside. This would enevitably bring up the prospect of more "legitimate" businesses obtaining the tax advantage of operationg in Claycomo, not mentioning the blight they put on the image of Claycomo. There is no hope of a major grocery locating here because of the history of picketing that pops up and now with the pompous Stoufer in charge it would only be worse. There was a time that I recall at least 6 "service" stations in Claycomo, now we're down to one automated gas station and a Pour Boys! I personally buy my fuel at Shell in Pleasant Valley, one of 5 locations for gas. |
|
You are very informed, I like it all. Ilove krispy Kreme donuts. I too get my gasoline in pleasant valley, and I want to but it in claycomo. I want my damn money to stay here. I eat at el sombrero, shop at savalot, cvs, and walgreens when it gets here. I want to keep more here. We have a great little town, the fire fighters are really friendly, and so are the police officers. Everything is great about this town, lets start building. Also why not build more homes maybe the open area behind Ford. Could be housing for ford employees.

Why do you guys judge legitimate business's in Claycomo? The pawn shop, the smoking supplies, they are all people just trying to make a living. Better than Ford bullying people around and making their own rules. Some of you need to get a life and if those business's offend you, do not shop there, but don't knock them when all they are trying to do is make a living. Why not complain about the Charlies bar, or the UAW parking lot? I know they are actually in Pleasant Valley, but both are known for the drug use and drinking that goes on, and then they patrons stummble back into Ford and assemble cars and trucks while they are drunk or high. Get a life and mind your own business.

Im not judging businesses, I want more businesses. If the business is doing something bad, then no I really don't want them here. This is and has always been a family town. If you don't believe me just look at our parks in the summer time. I take my grandkids there all of the time. Instead of getting on here an complaining, why don't you do something positive. You will not spread your bad atitude here. he true residents love this town. We have the greatest town with wonderful firefighters and policemen.

Desn't the pawn shop sell drug items? Pipes or something. If they do then that is wrong. I thought they were already closed because there is never anyone there. When do they do business?

why do you keep picking on these good small business? |
|
I don't pick on businesses, big or small. Someone else brought up the subject of the pawn shop selling illegal items not me. I only stated that I believed the current business to be closed, as I never see any patrons there. I was also taol that they sell drug accessories. This I can confirme, because I put my money where my mouth is. I stopped by the pawn shop today, to see if there were any bargains. I can say that they do not have much merchandise.

I got a bit nervous walking into the hock shop, almost the same feeling when I dropped into that barber shop with the ice cream and bbq sandwiches just west of city limits on kc side. May be more than meets the eye.

Why not mention Macaluso's then. They sell rolling papers, and I know your gonna say that your grandpappy still rolls his own. But so do the Ford workers. Those little glass tubes with roses in them that they sell or used to sell, are used to smoke crack in. So you can stroll in there, get your money laundered, and but your paraphernailia too. Mention them too. |
|
Well you would know more about that then I would! I do know that you can not smoke tobacco in those crazy looking glass things. I think you are stupid! You should stop communicating.
