Have to wonder about the city administrator and the police chief and assistant chief of police. Could get interesting if the FBI is involved.

Joyce K....When this kind of action is taken it has to be in closed meeting per State Law. Due to the advice of Attorney nothing more can be said yet. We would love to be able to give all the details to you and all the residents. It is more frustrating to the Board than you can imagine!!!<quoted text>
Thank you! I have lived here the majority of my 58 years and I love this village too, or I wouldn't still be living here. Maybe now, the board can get back on the right track with the citizens and other matters that affect us.

What would you know about anyone's performance reviews? I believe they are considered confidential. As for the personal comments, as I stated in an earlier post, it pisses me off that people like you get on the message boards and use it as a means to personally insult people by taking out your own hate on anyone when YOU obviously don't have the slightest idea what's going on. I bet you do this on alot of message boards. As far as my address goes, I receive my mail at a post office that is on Vivian Rd, which happens to be Kansas City, not Claycomo, thus my address under my initials. Have a nice day, if you're capable of doing so.

Interesting reading. Interesting how "Joyce" voices such a low opinion of people who post any comment that might be objectionable to hers, not in agreement or different ... you weren't trying to turn your comments into a personal vendetta against anyone? I laugh at you because you are the first entry on this "forum" and when you make negative comments about a particular identifiable person how is that not personal? How is your post any different then anyone else's here? This is a "forum", that means a place for open discussion in which all thoughts, opinions and comments can be expressed ... mmmm, sounds like you only want a response if it's in agreement with your own ... typical small mindedness coming from a 50 year vetern of a small town ... is it freedom of speech or just bashing you're in favor of? Your original comment stated "you'd like to know" so that leads me to believe that you don't know, you begin by calling this woman Ms. Anderson and then later go on to calling her by her first name ... go back to calling her Ms. Anderson because Miss Manners tip #135 states you should only use first names when addressing someone only after being asked to do so and I don't think she'll be asking you.

Would anyone out there be interested in the other side of the story? Perhaps tapes of board members asking for tickets to be dismissed? I venture to say that before anyone claims victory in this, to be prepared for the "other side". I don't know who did what but I do know the tapes exsist. I have heard them.

This whole Claycomo web site needs to be shut down. You people ARE the town, and libeling and slandering everyone in it isn't going to right any wrongs or fix any of the purported faults you all seem to find with it. I live alone here and it scares me to read what I read, but it scares me more to think there are actually people printing this stuff, true or not true.

I used to live in Claycomo and I loved it there. Jobs changed and we had to leave. A town is only as good as people make it. There are lots of nice people there underneath all the community dirt being spewed out.

Just Incredible- You are correct in saying that I should not of said anything about stupidity, that was wrong and I am not the type of person to pass judgment. I am not really taking up for Coonce, I just know that when I worked with him, which was several years ago, he never spoke as if he was a racist or discriminated against anyone. I guess I can admit that I never really knew him outside of work. Anyway everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I really am not the type of person to get into a word throwing argument with people. So I guess what I am saying is that I apologize for the stupidity remark. It is just unfortunate that this has occurred in the small community of the Village of Claycomo. I really liked the people when I worked there and the community was full of great people. I left because I knew that Jones would run it down and do something stupid, and I was to proud of my profession to have that happen. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Why do people sit and pass judgement off rumors, even the TV 5 report was one man's side of the story. I believe the three individuals involved have a lot to say too and it's unfortunate that in their situation they can't. I bet if we were able to hear Kasselman's, Jone's and Anderson's side of the story this web site would include entirely different responses. Don't run people down just because you can and it's even worse doing behind a screen name.

I don't know about you, but I think the "Pink Pig" (located in empty lot on N.Emerson)is a gas. The predecessor Pig, which was burned in effigy, served it's purpose admirably, enticing tresspassing no less...(but thanks be to the torch bearing tresspasser for soaking the area so the flames didn't spread.) I wonder what the building permit for it was, since Ford never has to get a permit for anything and skates on their tax load?
As for bicycle patrols by Claycomo Police, what ever happened to those TREK bicycles anyway? And more power to the CPD, they were and are doing a wonderful job and the only fault I find in them is the traffic violation passes they give to JS's children and the infamous "yellow jeep" incidents (plural).
Didn't JS make a splendid appearance Valentine's Day on TV5 investigation??? Makes me glad to be a resident...
To be continued...

Reading some of these comments really makes me sick. You think you guys have any idea what is going on well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you do not. It is also obvious that some of these comments were posted by ex or current employees that are probably shady and ignorant people. You probably wouldnt have lasted long under Chief Coonce anyway. And if you are a current employee you are on your way out. For the record Chief Coonce is not a racists and the previously mentioned swastikas in his office are on the side of an AMERICAN FIGHTER PLANE pannel which if you know anything about history you would know that during WW2 they posted the flags of the planes they destroyed. Which the swastikas would represent German planes. Anyone who knows Coonce knows that he is a big history buff and really takes pride in American History. The comments about the way people look really makes me think I am back in junior high. It also shows that you have no factual comments. Claycomo is on the way to becoming a very good department where negativity will no longer be welcome.

I couldn't agree with you more! This web site has no real value as far as many intelligent comments go. It's all name calling. If anyone does try to make any sensible comments, they are ridiculed and slandered. Claycomo is a good place to live, regardless of what garbage is spewed on this web site!!

I felt I must respond in defense of Chief Coonce. He is a damn good man, with honor and integrity. All I have read on this site appears to be baseless name calling, and mindless rantings of a certain worthless employee, or three former employees/criminals. Yes anyone with any common sense, can see through your false accusations about the department, and the current administration. I challenge anyone to go and speak with Chief Coonce, meet him for yourself, and make your own determinations of him. Speak with anyone within the police department and you will find that this is the friendliest department around. The officers are truely there to help. Every officer currently with the department is charged with the task of facing the demons of former administrative corruption. The officers are looked at as criminals, when they have done nothing other than their jobs. As for the (5) officers quiting, they made their choices to move on. They were replaced with outstanding officers, who are also extremely knowledgable, and serve the public trust. Claycomo is a great little town, and I agree with the comments posted by "IINB", The police chief is a history buff and not a racist. So to you, soon to be former employee, shut up, GO TO WORK, and snatch your petty crumbs someplace else.
