It was said months ago he couldn't keep his hands to him self.
But then again this is ClayBerry an rumors float, just like it was believed that Randy Holcomb was the nearest thing to God, as it turns out, he is just another turd floating in the sess-pool of life.

In every dealing that I've had with the pastor, I have always found them to be a kind on honerable and generous man. I believe that he loves God,his family, his church and his congregation. I also find this to have a normal Clay County Tone to it if you will. Everytime we have a young pastor here who has a young congregation with great emphasis on youth and teen involved. They become the targets of the idiots in this county. Is it so hard to believe that a man who teaches love, tolerance, and forgiveness actually appears to follow his own teaching? There are still many good Christian people out there but some of you believe that the first incling the man has interest in the youth in the church he has to have some alterior motive

To answer your question directly, I would imagine has something to do with separation of church and state. Not that I agree with it but that would be my guess. I believe when I took God in ass beatings out of school that's what a country started to go to hell. I would also guess that many others agree. If you would like to change the scenario I would suggest that we all begin voting different then that we have in the past. This all providing that the people posting on this board haven't already lost the right to vote as a result of some felonious conviction.

Is it too much to ask a kind man in this county be a friend to teenagers, a spiritual leader and a leader in this community stop being painted with the same brush as sandusky?

I believe that the preacher as with many that try to do good in our little "hazard "like town They try to tear his rep apart as they have so many others maybe now a few folks might rethink all the Vicious things said about pastor Jon Day and Denis Legg . It all in the end stems from the ugly green eyed monster !!! I've know. All these men personally over the years and the only time I've ever heard any thing wrong about them is when someone wanted them out of fair view Kudos to Pastor Brett for staying as long as he has !!! Better he than I God bless you my Brother !!!!

I am a parent that has spent time at the school and seen him there, he has talked to my children and others in the presence of my children. I don't agree with how he teaches his young congregation.

He likes to strong arm counsel and control his young congregation members, even if it means coming to school, pulling them out of class and talking to them about what is right in life. He shouldn't be allowed to do that without parent's permission. Which he did recently, probably a parent complained. Reminds me of a cult leader, you can follow him on twitter and you will see the correspondence he has with some of the kids. Isn't it odd that a church pastor would have that much conversation with the teens directly, with what appears to be bypassing parents.

He also preaches and converts young people on school time, I have been complaining about this for years. I am a Christian and I think God should be back in school, but I don't agree with some of his teachings, so why would I agree with proselityzing (I know its spelled wrong, but means to preach to convert). He asked kids from the middle school to come to "Bible club" and then preaches and converts young middle schoolers. This may be a slippery slope if someone wants to pursue it.

Also. His lockins that he has had. They do the same for those, they will stop all activities and have a service. Usually about 2 AM for the all night ones. The board told me that they rented the gym and had the right to do so. The lock in was not advertised as independent from the school system. The flyer said Fairview Baptist church was working it, but looked as done under the schools umbrella of control. The school system did all the advertising. The Flyer had all activities listed except a church service, so I thought it was deceitful.

My guess after explaing the above, is he was told to stay away due to the seperation of church and state. Along with him pulling his teens out of class against parents wishes. I would also guess that he is still walking a very fine line at the Middle School.

No, it's preacher Willey. If it was about Wiley, they would've typed Wiley instead of Willey.
That is a mispelling. All the comments are about Wiley. He's the only pastor that's spends any time at the school. Lockins and Bible clubs. So can't imagine why anyone would ever ask why "Willey" is not allowed back there. I don't even know a pastor Willey, but evryone know wiley.

If just like to throw one thing in to this discussion...Dennis Legg? Let me tell you something about Dennis Legg. I grew up in that church with him as my pastor, and at one time he was a very beloved person to my family. What has been said about him is NOT rumors. It's cold hard facts and it almost destroyed my faith in humanity. He is guilty of the things he's been accused of. I saw much of it with my own eyes. Removing him as Pastor of that church was the EXACT course that should have been taken. He's a fraud and a hypocrite and he personally devestated me by his actions and irrevocably altered any good will I had have felt toward him.

This is a very interesting thread. The original post was about the reason Preacher Willey (Wiley) was no longer welcome at the high school or middle school. So, let's not argue the point of who it is, or how it is spelled. This is about the current pastor at Fairview Baptist. The answer to the original question is that he made inappropriate comments to high school and middle school girls through his Twitter account. The girls shared them with their parents, who then shared them with school administrators, and he has now been told he is not welcome at either school. If that is wrong, then someone please correct me.
This brings me to what could be the real problem and to those who really need to be held accountable along with Preacher Willey (Wiley). Someone explain to me how a school system could allow a non-employee to have complete and total access to our students without parent permission? That is a blatant violation of state and federal law regarding confidentiality. If the preacher had the type of access noted in a previous post, by being allowed to take students out of class to admonish them for their behavior, or how their actions were reflecting on him and his church, is beyond comprehension. Mr. Tanner, Ms. Issacs, and Mr. Paxton, all need to be formally reprimanded and offer apologies to all the parents, and especially, the students involved, for allowing this individual to have access to their children. Are other clergy allowed in the schools with unadulterated access to our kids? I believe Preacher Willey (Wiley) even has went so far as to participate in faculty basketball and softball games. Really?
I would hope if this claim is true, then our community will demand the same fate for Preacher Willey (Wiley)that came to J. Pope, H. Graham, and others who have been accused and then politely asked to leave our fair community. I would hope we would then hold our school leaders to a higher standard in looking out over the safety of our kids. If Fairview Baptist wishes to keep this young man as their pastor, so be it. It is your choice whether or not to attend there. If you believe he is guilty of the alleged crime, then do not attend and let God take care of him. If it is not true, then move on, God will still take care of it.
