There not going anywhere ask yourself this. Do the really give a crap about clay. No. And military police have no arrest powers in the civilian sector.

So, why are they replacing our troopers at all? I don't understand. The sheriff himself needs out so the deputies can work. Our troopers have always worked and stepped up their patrolling & extra forces to cover for the deputies not being allowed to work.

I would suspect this is a rumor. To disolve this detachment would be a tremendous blow to Clay County. They will definitely have to bring support in to take these two troopers place. The troopers are placed in detachments as to how many are needed. They are certainly not over staffed. I don't know when the next cadets will graduate but cadets are placed with another trooper till they are ready to be on their own. It will take time, if ever, for Clay County to get over this tragedy. Hopefully, good can come from this, with changes from the state police, Clay County will be stronger than ever.

Actually, the military DOES have powers to arrest and detain in a civilian sector. The NDAA that was drafted into law in January of 2012 saw to that. And already the FBI has been there to do undercover and surveillance work. Its not the dopers we want. Its the murderers. Check into the NDAA if you're unclear on this.
