Thumbs up to the Clay County DOH for fixing the potholes on Holcomb Ridge Road.We had two potholes that were so big, back in the summer the neighborhood kids would use them for a swimming pool after a good three day rain. Now I can put my ATV up for a while and get back in my good ol pickup......Seriously It Is A Welcome Change.

why can't they pave the road in Adonijah it has been years since it has been paved all they do is patch the pot holes and then it is worse than the pot holes, but yet you go out some of the roads that has employees living out there and they get paved every year, like out where the sample's live that is the best road in the county and now Fola has been paved but yet when we call to see why our road hasn't been paved or if it is going to be all they say is its not on the list for June but maybe July but call charleston so when you call Charleston they say did you call your local office and you say yes we did but they said to call you because you decide what gets paved and then they take our telephone numbers and say we will call you back so then days and days go by and never a returned call. So what do we need to do.

If you could keep them out of Tuders things might get fixed in this county they are there for hours at a time. All the jobs I ever had once it was starting time you worked until break or lunch not stop at every store along the way. Thats where alot of the tax payers money is going to paying money for them to eat and lay around. I see it every morning.

Well sir or madam, if you know they are there for hours at a time, you obviously do not have a job. Therefore, either get a job or quit complaining about the DOH workers who work everyday so you can draw a check.
Whats that

So your saying it's alright for a doh worker to sit on his/her ass for hours to draw a check, just to pay for someones social hand out?
Sounds like their both getting a social handout.

I'm not saying that at all. Do you have a job? If so, do you "work" the entire 8 hours you are at your job? People need to quit running their mouths. The Clay DOH workers are the hardest working group of men I know. How many times were you stuck in the winters past due to snow covered roads? A few years ago, these men worked 12 hour shifts for days and days on end. I guarantee you they work harder then any man or woman in Clay County for less pay then welfare livers receive.

You gota be a doh worker, hell the CRJ inmates do a better job when they let them out to work the roads, and they don't get payed nothing.

No, actually, I work in Charleston and don't know any of the DOH workers in Clay personally. My opinion comes from experience. In the 20 some odd years I have worked in Charleston, I have NEVER been late for work because of icy, snow covered roads or because of a tree or a rock being in the road. If you people think they do such a horrible job, send your welfare check or SSI check back to the State and go to work on the DOH. Otherwise, shut up and be thankful you have the DOH who keep the roads driveable so the postal service can deliver your welfare and dummy checks each month.

I personally know most of the DOH workers and let me tell you they got their jobs not by what they know, most got them by who they knew and sucked a** told lies on the application, they have dealt drugs you name it and now it would take a act of congress to get them fired because they know they can file grievances . They ( most) are lazy!!!

I don't really care how they got their job as long as they do their job. Do you work in Clay County? If so, I bet you got your job because of someone you knew. Did you see any of their applications and know for a fact that someone lied on it? Did YOU buy drugs from one of the workers? Is that how you know they are a dealer? This county would be a much better place if people like you would spend more time minding their own business and cleaning out their own closets.

And, just so you know....I'm defending the DOH against nay sayers like you because I get tired of hearing people in other counties talk about Clay County because of rumors that are spread by people like you. For the most part, Clay County is not a bad place to live if it wasn't for gossipers and trouble makers like those on this site. This thread started as a compliment to the DOH and idiots like you had to turn it in to something totally negative.

Not pity for the DOH, just pity for all the "ignorant" trouble making, worthless people who have nothing better to do then start rumors on people who actually get up every day and go to a job in order to get paid, rather than sleep in every day and walk to their mailboxes on the first of every month in order to collect a check that the taxes the DOH workers pay helps to provide them with.

Yes they get up every day, but no they don't do their job, the only job they do is bust up marriages, including their own, park up every little side road they can find and screw other mens wives.

no don't work in Clay County, yes as a matter of fact I do know the person lied on the app. No I didn't buy drugs but know for a fact he sold drugs. I don't start rumors, I state facts. I'm tired of the way the County does business and yes I will soon leave.
