We have plenty of money to pay the taxes. They go down when we're not producing anyway. If I read the maps right most of the reserve is in Nicholas and Braxton county. So clay county looses again. Most of the equipment is now located in Nicholas county right now. When I retire I will have a loaded 401 a dandy pension medical insurance and a load of stock. So I pretty sure I will have it better than any damn union crybaby

Heading for PA before Christmas. Happy u must have been or be one of the union pussies we sent kicking cans down the road or will be kicking cans down the road. Enjoy the walk.
Foreman 2 your a dumbass you dont own that job.Alpha will buy that job, they already loaded one of folas trains the week of the 4th when the tracks was blocked,Alpha will mine coal there and do it the right way.as for me being a union pussy Iam not, Iam just some who has seen first hand out crop being shoved over, Iam someone who has seen HWM pulling out leaving cleanings with rock dumped over and no pad.Thats why the water will have to treated for ever.Maybe I should have called you a retard you might not know any better.Foreman 2 if I dont see you before Xmas have a merry Christmas.

Got news for ya mr know it all. Alpha had a chance to buy the damn place years ago and didn't. They don't have the money to pay the fuel bill on some jobs. As for not padding the pits. If you had the brains of a goose you would know if we lime the pits we start having aluminum problems with the water. It's easier to treat ph than dissolved solids. But it's clay county so I really don't care if we dumped pure battery acid in the water. Huh it might help the jean pool there.

Well if you have plenty of money to pay taxes , you won't need to ask the commissioners for a reduction (because were not producing coal we need our taxes lowered ). Or should I say "they" since ur just a foreman and not an executive from the main office .

Foreman is another word for fall guy. As far as education there is only a few requirements. Do what your told, repeat what your told and put your signature on the books so if shit hits the fan upper management has someone to blame

hm , your stock just dropped a buck , you gonna sell out on that too ? For some reason I just don't see you having as much pull as you think you do . Maybe those hard working redhats will salute ya as ya leave . I always heard the mining industry was unpredictable and a shaky business , paid well but one couldn't depend on retiring from it . It's a sad thing when so many will feel the effect of this . I myself included . I will see the effects on the face of the kids . So mister Foreman 2 hope your future treats you well , the future of the youth quite questionable at the moment . Maybe they will choose to find another field to go in . Gas and Oil mabye ???

As a Coal Miner's wife before the previous lay-off, I'm first hand seeing the effects of Consol's bad decisions. My husband was two months without a job, and now that he's finally found one it barely pays more than unemployment and doesn't provide insurance. We're struggling like so many others are going to be in the next month or so. There's no job that provides the way coal mining does that doesn't require a college degree. My husband is like so many others; working underground is not only all he knows how to do, but what he's truly passionate about. I know that there's no one person to blame, and I agree Consol could have cared a lot more about their men when it came to the standards and laws they're supposed to follow. Every day those men risked their lives going to work at the one job that would completely provide for their families, and this shut-down is heartbreaking. Some may not realize it, but all of this county thrives on the coal industry being located here; from businesses to the school system. I hope and pray that either Consol will get their act together and put their men back to work, or another company will take everything over. These minimum-wage jobs that are "being created" aren't going to cut it for these men and their families.

AMEN BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!

Obama has no blame in the shut downs. The industry is to blame for not following the rules and regulations that guide them. The coal industry has had WV fooled for too long. They do not care about miners only money. The mines are unsafe and black lung cases have nearly doubled. I will never understand why so many call themselves a Friend of Coal...I would not want a friend that is destroying drinking water, polluting the air and causing poverty. Wake up WV!

Now lets talk about the post that was removed about selenium on job 4A acording to the WV DEP and there water samples is way higher than normal,I think from what I have seen first hand people like foreman 2 and consols john g that dont care about clay county or our water they only care about looking good for the higher ups in consol .and bettering them selfs in the company. They have took to many short cuts. They have already said they did not care if they put battery acid in the water. We need that job, but we do not need dumbasses like these people. We need a company like Alapha that will come in and do the job right, and care about Clay county!!!!!
