Syracuse area firefighters ask residents to help keep hydrants clear of snow
Moyers Corners firefighters were inside battling a blaze at a Clay residence last month when the water supply ran out and they were forced to evacuate.

That's what they're paid to do. More proof upstate NY has too many public safety officials.

I would highly suggest that folks collecting food stamps, getting their utilities for by the state, dead beat fathers and those collecting welfare - to be assigned sidewalks and fire hydrants and to keep them clean throughout the winter.
No body gets anything free!
