In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful. It always best to "fight back" against rapist. Rapist are coward and a good punch to the nose or private part should, God willing, put them into retreat. In these times of HIV, a person put themselves in fear of lost of their life should they be raped.

In the name of God Our Lord, it is a pity that anyone would have to fight off a rapist. Men need to learn to keep their within their own confines and not wave it around. Women are NOT worshipers of the almighty package. God never created man to rape!

A violent crime that has little to do with sex........yeah, women need to learn to fight back with a vengence, especially if she can make her atttacker feel threatened in some way. I ran a man off once as he was on his way through my bedroom window. I lunged at him from my bed with my hands held like claws at the same time that I was bellowing out in a really deep voice. If I had gotten my hands on him I would have scratched his face off. I stuck my head out the window and continued hollering at him as he ran off thru the back yard. I was yelling "you better run, you a** h*le." I hate to think what would have been my fate if I hadn't woke up before he pulled both legs through the window.

now get this ,when the victim complained that the police wern't there to help her,they said...."we can't be everywhere"...

all the more reason that some citizens should be armed....make too much sense?...

instead of loosening the restrictions on gun ownershp here, they continue to tighten them...no one is allowed to pack a handgun....and to possess a longgun you need to meet all sorts of requirements,to the point most of us have given up ...

we are all now helpless potential victims to the criminals who won't be giving up THEIR handguns, or other weapons anytime soon...

With violent crime the way it is, and due to the fact that police cannot be everywhere, thus cannot protect any one person at any time, I would not live anywhere I could not own a gun, and if I did live somewhere where gun ownership was illegal, I would still have one.

Here is the good ole USA we relish our miserable life and our miserable choices for leadership.

You can't take our guns away from us, how would we shoot the tin cans on the wall?? LOL!

Liberal? Socialist? Republican? Liberaterian? OH MY!

And as for fair distribution of wealth in this country---come on, if I earn it I want to be able to keep it. I don't mind helping out those who have less than me, I just need to find someone who has less than me!!! LOL!

Bethie: You know, life is a big play. It's all about being happy. And that requires some equity of all of us - in sense of some intelligence, some guts, good health and preferably a safe and furnished home from childhood, including caring and understanding parents. Not everyone has been lucky enough to have all those things and talents.
I guess if you'd asked Bill Gates f.inst. to pick
the best 5 days in his life he might pick 5 days where he didn't have to spend more than $20. If you asked a homeless in New Orleans the same question he would perhaps be able to pick 2 perhaps 3 days in his life when he spent $20 that he actually could not afford.
Bill Gates will most certainly cast his vote in November, the homeless hardly not.

Police cannot protect citizens. all they can do is "enforce laws". Protection involves a preparation prior to the commission of a crime. Police will tell you the cannot do a thing until a law is broken. And then and only then can they "capture the criminal" and enforce the law that says you can't rape. For the police to protect you they'd have to be joined at the hip...

You, sir, are an idiot. You know nothing about my life, but you dare tell me what my life is? Yes, I have lived in the USA my entire life, not counting a year in the wonderful peninsula of S. Vietnam, some time in Germany and some time in Japan. I relish my ability to protect me and mine from criminal elements, who, by the way, are and will be armed. I also have farm animals and relish the ability to keep predators at bay, also with my gun. You think I live in fear and that I am a chicken?? I spent a year in Vietnam and 25 years as a city police officer after I returned to the good old USA. I am 61 years old, seen it and done it and anyone who thinks I am too chicken to protect me and mine will be very surprised when they try something stupid with me. Anywhere you have freedoms protected by federal law, you are going to have higher crime rates due to the criminals rights being protected, and, even with the "higher crime rates", I would not live anywhere else. I have been to and lived in many different countries in my life and would not leave the USA for any of them. I am very happy here, sorry you are not so happy where you are.
