Is this a new forum ? Do you all believe in jewell robbins ? Remember this has been going on for many many years.What is new ,does anyone know? For eveyone in Claycity ,Ky. and elsewhere i hope you the best .I hope she isn't scamming you all.I really don't know the lady but alot of people have put thier trust in her and i hate to see anyone hurt.

State says woman violating order in Spindletop case
Herald-Leader Staff Report

A Jessamine County woman notorious for selling ”shares“ in ”unpaid royalties“ from the 1901 Spindletop oil strike in Texas again faces 120 days in jail.

The Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions on Monday filed a motion in Franklin Circuit Court to hold Jewell Robbins in contempt of court.

”DFI believes Robbins continues to defy the court's order to refrain from selling securities,“ the state said in a press release. A hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. July 9.

Since 1985, Robbins, 75, sold fractional interests in anything she might recover from lawsuits filed on behalf of Spindletop heirs. In 2006, she signed a voluntary permanent injunction barring her from selling any securities; in 2007, she was found in contempt of that and sentenced to 120 days but the sentence was suspended. Last October, Robbins was ordered to give the state her bank records and the names of potentially thousands of investors, many in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia.

Yes she probably is going to jail ,BUT the government is strange it could go another way.I don't have to research to find out anything ,all i have to do is wait because someone else will do the researching and all i have to do is read.Really , anyway a person never knows what may happen ,too bad she wasn't a bit more careful there is no telling how long she would have kept going.We know that there is always an end to everything eventually .Her end is here;;;;;;

Ya know all these people that have invested and feel hurt now, they knew when they invested their money that there was a possibility they would never see anything out of it. It is no different then gambling, and further more she does not lie, i'm sure that if you ask her for your money back she will gladly give it to you. When you go tell her that her neice sent you!!!

Hey momma of two [niece]did you invest with jewell too? You say she doesn't lie ? from what everyone on the forum and post says different .Seems like everyone wants on the band wagon these days.I put asomething on here and it doesen't matter what it is someone always has word or two to say .That's fine with me ,everyone has an opinion and should voice it.Like i said before i don't know Jewell ,i have never met herand don't know what she looks like.I'm just voicing my opinion,their like buttholes everyone has one.

I understand, everyone does have their own opinions. No I didnt invest because when she first started selling shares I was to young to buy them. I wish that I could have bought some. My aunt is a very nice, caring person. You would really like her if you met her.

Did your parents buy into what Jewell was doing?I do know there alot of people [many of whom i know ] that have bought into this and some say it's a scam , i think maybe because it has gone on for so long and you cannot blame them for how they feel.There were questions not answered ,they were not kept informed of anything ,and there are other things left undone as well .I listened to the wave 3 audio ,and i do know that she wasn't supposed to sell any more s&as but it sounded like the very thing was trying to happen on the audio tape.If Jewell is your Aunt for real then she can be one way with kinfolks and another way with clients .After all this was a business deal and alot of money was involved .The investers kept everything going with the money they sent to Jewell ,they fully expected a good outcome for their efforts .No-one can be blamed for wanting a better life or way of living .

I understand how you feel. My parents have spent many years researching, and helping her gather information for her case. Yes they invested, and like I said I would have also if I had been old enough to buy into it. I can understand people wondering why it is taking so long, and I am very sorry that it has taken years. There have been so many stories told on my aunt that are lies and it just pisses me off that a person as good natured as she is gets the rap of being all the things she isnt. I just get tired and I can only imagine how her kids feel when they see or hear someone bashing their momma.

How do you explain her breaking the law, by continuing to sell s/a's through Reverend Jackson?

I dont know anything about it, I just know my aunt, and I do not believe she would intentionally lie to anyone. I am getting out of this I am getting questions thrown at me that I no nothing about.

It's been all over Lexington news, how do you know nothing about it? She is facing 120 days in jail, for contempt of court, for violating the court order that banned her from selling her worthless shares. When she has told her investors "soon" for 20 years, I'd consider that a lie, wouldn't you?
