FORMER EMPLOYEE FOR A1

Clarksville, TN

#1 Dec 9, 2011
I have been working with a1 allergy relief for about 2-3 months, the office is located on madison st. I recently quit this job because of its practices, which im going to describe here for anyone seeking information about it ie: consumer or someone trying to get a job.

for a CONSUMER you will either receive a scratch-off ticket in your newspaper (three of hands blackjack), the ticket will state you have won a gift and you need to call a number to receive the gift.you will win a gift (every card is a winner). if you do not 'qualify"(home owner" for the gift they'll tell you your going to have to drive to terre haute In. to claim it. which your gift is most likely a very cheap digital camera or a dollar store mp3 player. if you do qualify you would have to attend an in-home demonstration about their products(vacuum cleaner) to claim it.were you will most likely be high pressured into buying one for around $3000. by the way you can find the same one on sites like ebay for about 200$.

FOR SOMEONE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT
YOU ARE A VACUUM CLEANER SALESMAN
(NOT REALLY CUSTOMER SERVICE)
first you will sit through about 4 days of training (you do not get paid for) they'll buy you pizza/or subway to make u feel special.they'll wait toward the end to even bring up the fact your selling vacuums. they say you will make 20$ an hour. not true. you will make 10$ per appointment set from the blackjack cards if you make 11 appointments in a week you make 20$ per appointment. sounds easy. now you will also use your own car and gas. they will also have you drive to places which are an hour-hour and half away.alot of the time there will be no appts. on the books so your just screwed. each appointment will take about 2 hours. thats about 5 hours of time right there for 10$.thats not enough to cover your gas. alot of the time you will go to the appts. and the customer A. cancelled the appointment B. only wants the gift C. not there D.million other reasons. you will not get credit when this happens either. very difficult to get 11 appts.
FOR SELLING A MACHINE (COMMISION)
if you do happen to sell a system (majestic and defender) they claim if you sell it for 2798 you will get 500$ comm.anything lower then that you make 100$ if your lucky. you can make 500$ only if it goes through a certain finance company. if it goes through any other company then you get 100$ also. it is very hard to sell a 3000 dollar vacuum. and if you do most of your sale is just benefiting the guys who stay in the office. they see everyone who applies there as suckers. trust me i know. if you are looking for a job to make yourself money then your best bet would be to turn around from this and RUN. this was the worst decision i could have made. and even worse for staying for 2 months. i made around 2500-3000$ in 3 months . i also put over 11,000 miles on my car. and who knows how much in gas/food.if you do dedicate yourself you'll be working for over 12 hours a day and make maybe 30$. these guys will take advantage of you to the fullest. they'll be making them money while your getting screwed. YOU ARE A SUCKER IF YOU DECIDE TO WORK HERE.(just like i was). this is why they go through classrooms of people every week. EVERYONE QUITS HAHA

The sign-on bonus is a joke too...the trainer will accidently forget to give out the paper that says what the requirements are which are 15 shows in your first week to qualify. They will complain if you run too many shows or not enough. The manager is hateful and he too is broke...so they will push you to make more money for them. The only ones makin money are the corporate trainer and the distributor which is located in Terre Haute Indiana off of your "friends & family" practice weekend. The product is good but the distributor could care less about Filter Queen products just the revenue it brings him. Dont waste your time on this "opportunity"!!

It must be weird they are like Positive and Excited and Motivated to want to help people.., yeah that would be a red flag to me too. Yeah I would rather work at a factory thats going to lay me off in a couple months,or down size and have No opportunity to advance and work next to someone thats late everyday and make more money than me, that sounds Awesome!!! Good Luck on finding the perfect job, your going to need it ;)

actually you will , seriously by law they have to pay you ..I am the one who wrote this topic by the way , and the only winning tickets I've ever seen were for the digital cameras or MP3 players .. Your the only person I would say yes , let them do the show for you , and no you don't have to by one of these vaccums in order to get it , that's crazy congratulations .please tell me you didn't throw that away either ..,, wow... Very very rare ticket haha congrats and enjoy your money ...just you have to let them perform the show for you ...who cares ...sit through 2 hours of a sales pitch for 10,000 dollars .,. I'm sure the manager will be the one doing your show and be carefull he will high pressure you ...who cares you don't have to buy it if you don't want .., take your money and tell him off if you want ... Remember by law they have to pay you that money .... And I don't know you , and deffinetly don't work for these dirtbags anymore but I am deffinetly happy to see someone take their money for a change .

Owner emailed me in response to me asking about office space, I think I rather not be affiliated with an office that does bad advertising practices.

Hello I have been trying to find out if this poker scratch off ticket from a1 allergy relief is a scam or not. It says I won 1,000 bucks do they have to pay you the 1,000 bucks or do they just not pay you and try to sell you something? If anyone knows or has a idea please let me know. Thanks
