My boyfriend works at a fast food restaurant on Madison Street. He said that the owners and several of the managers on duty carry guns to work..apparently they are licensed and trained. Bf said, they will not be victims in a robbery! Wow, this scares me to death..is it safe and legal?
A gun free zone is a victim rich zone. We all have the right to protect ourselves. I'm happy to know there is a restaurant that is well armed and believes in the 2nd Amendment. My husband and I believe in it as well. We legally exercise it every day. You are scared of people who refuse to be victims. That makes no sense. Several years ago there was a horrific crime at Taco Bell here in Clarksville. I read the court case and testimony. These people were helpless and had no way to fight back. Tragic. Another horrific crime involved Baskin Robbins. Two women were tragicly taken from their families. They too had no way to fight back. The older one was 21 at the time I believe and could have legally had a CCW. But as per most store policies no weapons allowed. There was a murder at C & D Market in 1996 involving the brutal kidnapping ang murder of the casher. She was found several miles away and from what I was told it is still unsolved. I also remember the case of the woman who was kidnapped from the parking lot at Pet Smart by her ex-boyfriend or husband. Witnesses called 911 but noone got in their cars and followed them to let the LEO's know which way he went. She didn't have a CCW apparently and no gun for self defense. The discovered her body on Needmore Road across from the race track with a gun shot that took her life. I think he took his own life as well from what I remember. There are many more murders locally of unarmed victims who if they had been armed may haave stood a chance and been with us today. I too was inspired to get my CCW due to domestic violence and the continuing threats. I am no longer scared. I feel a sense of peace. I don't understand you fear. Bad guys will always have guns and have no regard for you andd your life. The people that ou boyfriend work for actually care about him and their other employees. They also care about the welfare of their customers. Chew on that for awhile and think about the people that we have lost to the bad guys with the upper hand. It's about time We the People get an upper hand on them and shut them down. My heart goes out to all the families of those who have been taken buy violent crimes. It's time to stand up and be ready to fight back. Be a survivor.
