tva had to have approved how close the homes were in the first place, while they were being built i assure you they sent someone out,that someone probably had the trees planted,as is standard practice.
Whoever cut down the trees is at fault,
they should have been trimmed if too high,not removed
Don't blame the Realtor , all they do is sell you the house, and take care of your paperwork and keep you from getting sued or ripped off! Chances are if you don't see it then they don't either,and I'm sure the residents and the Realtor were well aware of the power lines when the home was sold.

i live in the brick house that u see in the picture beside these neighbors, and i wasn't told of the TVA easement until the day i signed papers to buy this house, Comperry was the builder and he committed suicide right after building their home, i'm disabled and in a wheelchair, TVA has cut down 8 mature trees from my yard, they brought state troopers and threatenened to put me in jail if i denied them on my property to cut the trees down, i told them the same thing, that they were my buffer and he didn't care at all, actualy got nasty with me, even kicked in my gate to get access to my yard, my fence is built not under the lines like Mikes is, i have lived here since 92 and i can't hardly use my backyard at all, there easement comes within 10 ft of our backdoor, so I was lied to and information withheld from me deliberately,I'm sure of that, all I know is I wouldn't let Derrick Comperry build me a doghouse, there liers and thieves, they wouldn't even finish building my house, they kept putting me off and putting me off, i didnt pay them the "rent" as they called it, because they were 9 months over there contract........its a shame that they even take advantage of a disabled veteran

This is a sad example of how greed affects people. Tennessee needs some kind of consumer protection that would help protect and hope to stop this type of greed or whatever you want to call it.
