we have a lot of different cultures moving into the duluth area (gwinnett county) and we have to adjust the way we do things in order to take care of the whole. there are bad people in all races and ethnic cultures and there are good in all. so i don't know what you're trying to imply in all of this, what we need to do is learn to adjust to the types of people we have (good & bad) and not see people as people of other color or culture. Once we do that, we will all have a handle on how to deal with all people.

I GREW UP IN GWINNETT. I WAS THE ONLY JEWISH PERSON IN MY MIDDLE SCHOOL OR HIGH SCHOOL. THERE WAS ONE BLACK PERSON, AT THAT TIME THAT IS WHAT SHE CALLED HERSELF.
IT WAS A VERY SAFE PLACE TO LIVE. THAT WAS ALMOST THIRTY YEARS AGO. TIMES HAVE CHANGED. WHEN YOU HAVE OTHER PERSONS FROM OTHER CULTURES AND WHEN YOU MIX DRUGS AND HARD ECONOMIC TIMES WITH LOW INCOME AND UNEDUCATED PERSONS YOU HAVE TO ADMIT YOUR GOING TO HAVE PROBLEMS. GWINNETT IS A MELTING POT NOW IF YOU DONT LIKE IT MOVE.

There is a lot of serious crime going on in Gwinnett County, but the police would rather chase down and arrest teenagers smoking pot. There's a lot more money to be made arresting people for minor crimes - bail, probation, fines, etc.

Crime prevention is no longer the job of the police department. It is now law ENFORCEMENT - which is a money making racket. Why arrest a REAL criminal who will cost the county money, when you can arrest a kid making a stupid mistake and suck a lot of money out of him and his parents?
