Yawn... It was only a matter of time. I wish these rappers had more respect for themselves - and then maybe they'd stop being an embarrassment to the rest of us.

It really seems to me that rappers like Young Jeezy and Yung Joc are today's African American role models.

Getting into fights (verbal or physical) at a strip joint is supposed to be representative of our role models today?

I just passed by a billboard on Northside and Marietta for RockCorps, which features a free concert with Young Jeezy for people who provide some type community service.

If this young man is supposed to serve as a role model - what is the message that he brings to young people? And I am asking that in all honesty.

Lets not pretend that our youth hold ppl like him in such high esteem. Music and TV has become today's babysister...

Its not cool enough to be intelligent and earn A's in school(everyone but white america scoffs at over achieving kids)..the disease is that blk children..boys and girls think its OK to be trap star or street hustler. Having a record isnt cool..but the parents of the kids should be more of a role model than Jeezy and his 7 felonies..

Keep it real...

IT does matter that he is Jeezy. When he puts himself into the public eye, He is putting himself out there be a role model.. He should think more about that.. He s not much of a model for teenagers or children..

I disagree with some of the comments, no one told people to look up to them, they are everyday people just like we are they just happen to be on the radio, on tv, and have more money than we do, so stop acting like they are any different. They make mistakes too

You are absolutely correct that people make mistakes. What makes a man is how he deals with his mistake. If he acknowledges it and takes the steps to correct it then in my opinion he is a man worthy of my respect. If he comes out and tries to blame it on someone else or doesn't own up to it, then he is not a man and not worthy of my respect.

Maybe this loser can write himself a "rap song" thru this ordeal. Thats what these clowns do. Get in trouble with the law and write a " rap song" about it.And film a video in prison like that loser " TI".

Just a reminder, I'm sure it was not in his contract to be "Role model" for today's youth.....We as parents should teach our children right from wrong, and teach them that just because people are on t.v. and the radio, does not mean those are the people that should guide them through their lives.... for real people, teacher's the church, Family, and friends...thats who our children's role models should be....Not Britany, not rapper's, and no movies...life lessons, and right from wrong begin at home....give up some of your extra paycheck, fire the nanny, and go home...and YOU spend some quality time with your kids....
