1-HEAVIER PROSECUTION
2-NO DEALS FOR SENTENCING
3-PUT OUT A REWARD FOR REPORTING DRUG TRAFFICERS ONLY WITH SUCCESFUL PROSECUTION.
4-PUT CAMERAS IN HIGH PROFILE AREAS
gET RID OF YOUR bULSHIT POLITICIANS AND PUT YOUNG AND NEW BLOOD IN YOUR COUNCIL SEATS.
5-GET RID OF POLICE CORRUPTION, FOLLW THEM AROUND WITH CAMERAS.
6-Get involved and cut the bullshit start a drug hotline for citizens and informants.

Task forcers spend to much time on a nikel and dime drug user and aught to be after the big time traffickers. To much money wasted on buying drugs from small business druggees. But thats prolly all they no how to do.

There is alot of work that needs to be done to fix the drug problem, here in Harrison County. But we need to fix the problem through out the State of West Virginia.

1st. There needs to be a State Drug Task Force Formed and Run by DEA or the State Police. There should assistance from all Law Enforcemeent Agencies in the State with man power.

2nd. These Officers should only answer to a Special Prosecutor that would be appointed by the Suprime Court of WV. The Prosecutor would set the rules that the Task Force would work by and see that all Cases were Prosecuted in the correct District Court or Frederal Court.

We as Citizens need then to back these Officers as they work to do away with the Drug Problem.

I honestly don't think that there is anything to be done. For example, when Monticello Ave was busted a few years ago, all it did was push the problem into other areas. Those who were never caught moved to different neighborhoods, counties or out of city limits to hide.

We can begin to work on the problem, people knowing that there is an issue and actually standing up to combat it can help tremendously. The biggest issue is people actually taking the initiative to do something. We can all say that we would call the police and report such crimes, but how many would actually do it if it was someone we knew, like friends or family?

I am young, 30 years old, and I have known for years that Cburg had a drug problem. However, many people don't pay enough attention to what goes on around them to understand the severity of it. Many don't know what to watch for, how to figure out that there is illegal activity going on in their neighborhood. This is where the PD's need to step up and have seminars to educate people about drugs and what to watch for when it comes to that type of criminal activity. I also agree about anonymous tip lines, because many refuse to call 911 for the fact that the calls can be traced back to you.

As for a drug hotline it already exist...and for young new council members. REALLY. That would be such a good idea NOT. We need people who is experience and people who knows this town that has been around. Putting young blood that you may call it is just unreal. They haven't got a clue what this town needs. We the people who votes puts those candidates in those seat. maybe if u young people would get out and vote it could make a difference.

Legalize personal use of mariuana within the state so that our jails aren't overpopulated with people who don't need to be there, and the tax profits can go into state-run programs. Work on stings and arrests on the dealers coming from border states providing hard drugs like crack and heroin. Continue to push and bust local meth labs.

But most of all, the economy needs to get better, so that we can expand buisness and give our citizens a stable job environment so that they don't have to turn to selling hard drugs to make money, and so that our people don't need to sit around doing hard drugs because there's not enough entertainment options, or using drugs as a coping mechanism due to the poor living conditions we all have to endour.

As for the young they have no idea about clarksburg in whats going on with this town and they would be clueless. They wouldnt know were to start. Did you mean wouldnt lol..Believe me I know way more then you think. Like I said before we need more people to vote and it could make a difference if not the same people will remain on council. thefore this town will never change. thanks and have a good one.

You are clueless, go back into your dark little hole, News Flash City Of Clarksburg is dead, due to your way of thinking. There are no voters in Clarksburg, all the smart people moved to Bridgeport. Since you have been around so long. Errand boy or girl, maybe its time for you to quit kissing ass. You have a good long pucker.

I plan to run for city council at some point. This city needs an outlook like mine. I just have a very busy life, I need to find time to fit in another adventure.

This drug stuff is a business, Correct the following points if you like:
1: Big drug dealers make big bucks off it.
2.Us Law enforcement has a lot of employees working on ti.
3. Many locals including High School kids and teachers drive nice expensive cars.
4. Cops are paid to chase them down.
5. Cops catch them then pass them on to another tier in the system.
6. Now the prosecutor gets their cut. Passes them on to jail or Re-hab.
7. Now the Jails for profit gets their cut $50.00 a day. Supporting the guards ect.
8. Then you have the Drug re-hab system and the Doctors and clinics get piece of the pie.
9. Then you have Pfizer,Merck, Milan ect the drug companies get a share too.
So you see it supports a lot of people so theirs no real interest by Law enforcement or politicians to stop drugs.

Let me add something Taxpayer. On the first tier, if LE is running low on drug dealers, let's create some. Find someone on pain meds .. back problem, war injuries, etc., and throw more drugs at them. One of the crack head sluts narking for LE can do that easy. They feel better already. Get them some more drugs, and more, and we have created a drug user who turns drug dealer to support the habit. Anywhere in C-burg is within the federal limit of a park, school, etc. so we have a federal case now. It's so easy to create a case and keep it going so everyone gets their cut. If a few lives are ruined along the way, or someone od's and dies, well, sorry about your luck.
