Maybe it is time for a new start. When offices are up for election maybe we should put new faces in there for a change, same for state elections.

listen up everyone,

under my superior leadership and having been elected on the coat tails of ken 'sarge' gorby, i am personally responsible for the outstanding law enforcement in all of harrison county.

i enforce the letter of the law towards all of the guilty ones by giving them a firm slap on the rest so that they obey or else they would have to deal with me again.

and if you don't believe me, i will go tell my mommy who will come and give you a mean look that you won't forget.

bring on the new elections.

you idiots from harrison county will continue to vote for me.

The cops talk to each other on topics, how lame. Maybe they should talk about how brian purkey is dirty and the biggest drug addict in the county

Hey ace and cabin boy, prove it. Since you want to spread rumors like this maybe you will get a chance to prove it, in court.

There is a drug epidemic in Harrison County. I do believe that with the number of officers working, they are doing the best that they can do. Pain pills, bath salts, and all the drugs out there, they must feel overwhelmed. SCAD is making arrests. It takes time and often times the criminals are back out on the streets. The system makes it too easy for them and that is NO fault of the Law Enforcement Officers.

what fact can you honestly give to prove that all of the cops in Clarksburg are sad leos, etc.??!?! I would bet there are some fine officers employed. and I would also bet that you have had a bad experience with a leo- a scorned female or a criminal that thinks his/her civil rights have been violated??? which is it? funny cuz it seems that every town has a group on a forum that makes fun of every cop on the force. martinsburg has a fine group of officers but a hand full of shit ones toot the dirt bags get online and state all of the officers are losers, etc.. and I can honestly say that that is bullshit! I agree that they aren't all good but to say they all suck is just unfair!!!!

why do people hate cops so much? of course growing up and now in my life I always heard and saw that those that hate the law are those that break the law. so once again, to all cop hating criminals- fuck you!

i am not a cop. I am from Clarksburg and like to keep up. still come home to visit from time to time in fact. when I see names on these forums, I know many of them so it keeps me there(ex:pop bottle pete) and its fun to read some of this trash.

no longer live in mini Baltimore shit can of martinsburg. have family there that are leos along with many friends that are leos in the tri-state area. I defend leos becuz I am sick of those knocking them down when they have no clue what they are talking about! I am sick of the negative comments. and I figure if all of the cop haters can make their comments then so can I.

but you see, drugs are a huge contribution to the down fall of our society. many of us have lived through hard times emotionally, physically, financially, etc. and still managed without the abuse of drugs or etoh. and I am harsh on those with a problem- perhaps too harsh in the eyes of sum. but after hearing and seeing the things I have, my tolerance level is zero. if it offends you, I apologize. have a drug problem in the past or someone close to you? if so, I am sorry to hear it. unfortunately, my views are at a stand still when it comes to drugs/users. perhaps we can respect each others opinions and move on.

as for the presidential candidate- I refused to vote the last 2 elections. never had a favorite, although I did not and still do not object to Obama in office. to me, all politicians are the same.

There aren't any bad police departments in Harrison County...just bad leaders in some...who is the worst leader...start with Sheriff Marano. What other department has lost 20% of their manpower and 50% of their SGTS.???
I am 60 years old and have known Albert Marano all my life. They don't get any better then this man! Could it be the reason we are losing so many is that someone is taking out the garbage that has been smelling up this city for way to long!

You many know many good leos. however not all politicians ore good either and are not all the same. You many have friends and family in law enforcement but surely not in the Coal, Natural Gas or Oil Business. Obama in Office and his EPA has hurt the Clarksburg area in the business of Coal Mining, Gas & Oil Drilling. Read the paper, watch Fox News and listen to talk radio. You will discover that not all politicians are the same. In Maryland they are taxing the rain that fall on your property?

When Sheriff Marano took the officer out of the Task Force for manpower reasons, he immediately put an officer into a brand new unit (Street crimes). The officer taken from the task force replaced the street crime officer on road patrol. Obviously manpower was not the issue or there would have not been an extra man to start a new unit.
At the time, there was a pissing contest between the administration of the Sheriff's Dept and the administration of Bridgeport PD. That was the reason for removing the deputy originally. That particular deputy was not in the best standing with HCSD administration at that time either.
Whether on not LJ Maxey would be a better sheriff is obviously debatable, but he would probably take more interest in the drug issues considering his background.
However, after reading several posts supporting Sheriff Marano's assertion that he removed officers from the task force for manpower reasons, I can tell you without doubt that it is untrue. The manpower was there to keep an officer in the task force. It was purely a pissing contest. It is a shame, but it is true.
Pay back is a biiaatch isn't it. Lol
