Not only can one man make a difference...but one vote can make a difference. Listen to what L.J. Maxey has to say...he is for real...and I hear he is after the machine. He might be a Republican...running in a Democrat County, but he knows what it takes to keep drug dealers out of Harrison County...he spent 35 years doing that...trust me...people will hear from him when things get going next year and they are going to like what they hear...looking forward to 2012 .......wow......I bet you even voted for that wanna-be Joe Trupo!

Sounds like who ever said "I want people to be kind" was a very nice person.

I will guaranty that Marano and Maxey will n ot have the same number of votes in Nov. I agree Maxey has a long and hard fight ahead to knock Marano out. I am also saying Maxey can and would do alot better job then Marano. We need to put the BEST people in office even if they are not in "our political party".

It is just a good demonstration of the voters numbers. Even if Maxey pulls all of Quinns votes (which he won't) he will not even be close. That is what I have been telling you people. No contest.

These numbers simply state that within his own party he is not a strong candidate. Even if half of the primary voters cross party lines to vote for Sheriff, Maxey will still not win.

Quite a change of heart. What Happened? He probably should not announce he is pro Zombie though. That is not as politically correct as it used to be back in the "Thriller" 80's

That is what I have been telling you people. No contest. Razor, I've always considered myself as very professional; I don't think you will find anyone who will disagree. What I'm going to tell you is an experience I had last week while knocking on doors down on Harrison Street. Something I didn't expect and I hope something Sheriff Marano would not condone, but none the less it makes me wonder about the culture that exists in some aspects of county government. Generally, if I knock on a door and no one answers I leave a palm card with some bio information and my website; usually slid in a storm door or curled in a storm door handle. Apparently I had left one in the door of a "Community Corrections Officer" who apparently chased me down to hand the card back to me and state, "I don't think I need this, I work for Albert Marano." His picture ID was dangling around his neck making very evident who and what his position was; to me that is arrogance, unprofessionalism, stupidity and/or a combination of all three. I took the card, said thanks and walked away. That's a sampling of what I have confronted to take on this challenge. I can only accomplish this by knocking on literally 1000's of doors and that is what I'm doing every day until Election Day. Incidents like that only strengthen my resolve to continue this challenge. Not complaining just stating a fact. This is one of the most humbling things I’ve ever done, but as a Republican in Harrison County, it’s what I have to do. You see that’s what’s wrong in this county; a Democrat doesn’t have to do anything like that unless they are battling in a Primary, but never to the extent that I’ll have to. I’m not taking this lightly and neither should the people of Harrison County.

Albert would never condone that, if you knocked on his door and gave him one of your cards I guarentee he would treat you like his best friend and talk to you. That is just plain being a dick. I live like two blocks from Harrison, come knock on my door I will treat you like an old friend.

Is it true that Politicians are as corrupt as the Mafia? I am not trying to be smug but on the History Channel , they show were they were.
Then and now.
