I don't understand why Clarksburg doesn't see the beauty in this buiding and why they don't want to help save it. It is part of their history.

Where exactly is the money going to come from? All you people out there who think it ought to be save how is this going to get done? Do you want your taxes to go up? Do you want to contribute thousands? Do you want to give free labor? If there was an easy way to restore it don't you think someone would have figured it out in the last 20 years? What is its beauty worth to you? If you are going to talk the talk then you need to walk the walk. Everybody has an opinion but no one wants to be part of the solution.
.
LOL, how much are you willing to contribute, give up and put in? People on this site need to realize that there is no magic wand to make this happen.

There is a group working hard to save this hotel. They are raising money to help get it stable and working inside to clean up the mess caused by vandals and thieves. Does anyone know how to get in touch with them. My husband and I would like to be a part of this group and help these people.

Did you read about the black top that fell out of the Sycamore St bridge on to the RT 50. Sound's like they have other things to worry about......

I would love to see the Waldo saved, but like much of downtown Clarksburg, what would you do with it? Most of the commercial buildings downtown have lots of room now. It would be nice to see the Robinson Grand restored too, but I don't see how it's going to happen. Too bad. I miss the days when we had a thriving town.
