I'm not even Hispanic, but that is SO rude. It sounds so pathetic, that it makes me wonder if racial profiling is part of the problem.(Which also sounds pathetic to me, but you have to argue ignorance with ignorance). Anyway...one of the problems with Blacks and Hispanics always getting in trouble is that they live in the inner city. Whites party at their homes too, but it's usually in the suburbs, and you can get high/drunk as you please without getting arrested. So, I don't think it's racial profiling, I just think it's location. That's why so many minorities get arrested daily. As the great Tupac Shakur once said...."Both black and white, are all getting high tonight."
There is no demographic for drug abusers. They come in all colors and creeds, and more importantly, financial status. There are rich and poor doing drugs just the same. So chill out dude, take a deep breathe, and judge not, or be judged first.

Apparently you don't read the police blotter that often. There is a trend.

Here's a neat little test you can try:

Have a "minority" walk through an all-white neighborhood at midnight and see what happens.

Have a white person walk through an all-"minority" neighborhood at midnight and see what happens.

You will probably be quick to see that the white person will either be mugged, beaten or killed. The "minority" will walk through free, after they break into vehicles and homes.

I can't agree with the "location" factor. It doesn't matter where you live... You know that stealing, murder, beating up people is WRONG. Some people just have a blatant disregard for the law and don't give a crap about anyone else. Location doesn't teach that.

Charged -- Juan A. Ramos, 39, of 225 S. Bradford St.; Saturday in the 500 block of Turner Street with possession of a controlled substance

I wonder if he was a customer of the "Cafe" in that block?

i have an interesting observtion to add to his. i have a middle school several blocks from my home which is racially mixed. 2 things...when the minorty students walk past my house there is plenty of trash thrown by them,,,and i don't even have to look outside to know when they walk by,,,it's always screaming and yelling going on. the white kids walk past and head to home...no trash ,no yelling and for some reason they also seem to carry bookbags as opposed to the minorities having none.

I see PLENTY of white people walking around Allentown at night. This is the Lehigh Valley, not Compton....take a chill pill and mind your business. Apparently reading the police blotter is your daily habit....Try reading a book. LOL
What you don't realize is that WHO CARES what the race is....let's focus on getting the crime OUT of this area. How bout that?

I do agree about getting the crime out of the area! You say that I should mind my business, but answer me this: If people only minded their business, how would that get the crime out of the area? It seems that in order for the crime to be nipped, people need to stop minding only their business. If they see a crime, report it or try to help. But, I am like MANY out there. I'm sick of the minority committing the majority of the crimes. Pretty bad when the whites are still the predominant race, and commit less crimes. What does that tell you?

Yes, I do read the police blotter a lot. I try to see how bad the crime is, and to see if anything happens in MY neighborhood. If it does, then I can NOT mind my business and keep an eye open in my neighborhood to try and help thwart the crime. Well, that and to see if anyone I know is doing stupid things... LOL!

I don't disagree with everything you are saying. It's sad b/c the minorities ARE committing the majority of the crimes. It deeply saddens me. I am a minority myself. It's the lack of education and poverty that is the cause of all these crimes. It's not simply b/c God made them Hispanic or Black.....like you might think. I'm an educated business owning minority. We are not all crime filled people. It just hurts me inside to know that racism still exists in America. And not only that, but it's on the local Morning Call website. That's not right. I wish you would expand your thinking and see that it's not b/c they are minorities, it's b/c they are stupid. You understand? I hope so. I will Pray for you that you understand that race doesn't mean crime....stupidity does.
