"Sure wish there was a way to give these rings back to their owners or descendants."

We replied, then: "Oh, there might well be a way. Let's just see what happens next!"

What happened next was that we heard from Jim Klein: "The ring from Cretin 1941 with the initials FJK was my father's. His name was Frank John Klein. He lost it about 40 years ago, and it was found and turned in to Cretin about 25 years ago, and they called him and said that he was the only one with those initials that year. Long story short: He got his ring back, then passed away in 1987. I got his ring and gave it to my son when he was in high school — and about six years ago, he was at the beach in Prescott on the St. Croix and lost the ring in the water playing football.

"I would love to get the name or number of the woman who has this."

We arranged for Jim Klein to get together with Curious in Hastings. The ring is back with Jim — where it belongs.(Jim's son had his chance!)

And then we heard from Jeff S.(Hutchinson '86)— who talked with Curious in Hastings, to verify his claim. Jeff S.'s ring, we're happy to report, is en route back to him, via the U.S. mail. "

That is amazing. What are the odds that the finders AND losers read Bulletin Board? I guess that would be 50/50.

Awesome BB today! The ring stories are fun.

I love Nancerini's husband's saying. That made me laugh.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Capricorn

Self deception will be the main issue today. You may be judging your situation wrongly: don't hold back, say what you think diplomatically and without being hurtful. This should result in a positive mental outlook for you. Competitive sports activity will ease any stress or tension.
