It was a NATIONAL effort started by the American Legion. It should have been sent off 2 weeks ago as it will take a month and a half to get there unless the military takes it and airlifts it directly.
How'd you like to have one pair of socks for 2 months?(Most don't wear underwear over there, so no worries) I'm sure people cross-leveled personal equipment to help each other, but it's sad the military can't replenish gear lost during contact immediately. Really, they can't. It took me 6 weeks to get a new Kevlar for one of my soldiers after his got shot while being raised on a stick to find a sniper that kept screwing with us. |
