Young students are future voters.

The faux Republicans or con servatives in the Pennsylvania legislature won't do anything to stop this either. And what happens if they take those degrees to work out of state. Pennsylvania and Philadelphia has one of the poorest retention rates of graduating students already. I have no problem with discounts for in state residents or someone who has a fews years at a state public community college but free tuition???

Pennsylvania has no where near the financial capacity or tax base that California does. Allison Schwartz is starting to sound like California governor Jerry Brown. The wussy faux Republican Tommy boy Corbett will feel the urge to react and garner the same votes/students that Schwartz is.

What about the current and former students who were not given this opportunity?

They should be forgiven of any student debt obtained at a public university IF they go that way. This is pandering pure in simple.

Pennsylvania is in transition. One only knows what the voters will do. They already hoodwinked by a Democratic president and faux Republican governor. If any illegal immigrant amnesty bill can be defeated nationally I think this talk will stop for a while.

We're screwed in Pennsylvania no matter how you vote- a tax and spend liberal Democrat or tax and spend faux Republican con servative governor. I'll take any third party candidate at this point.
