Corey Shumaker of New Bethlehem is a candidate for magisterial district judge in District 3-4. He will cross-file on the Republican and Democratic tickets in the May 15 primary election.

Barb Carrier is a much better choice. She has the experience and qualities to be a fair judge. She knows the system and is not predisposed to presuing guilt on the defendants that would come before her. She will also run on both Democrat and Republican tickets.

But will she stop the good ole boy mentality and judge fairly even those in power wont get away with stuff as in the past. With George and merwin in there drugs could come and go and if u knew pat's brother u could get off on any drug charge.

Barb is the perfect person to stop the good ol' boy mentality. She is committed to ruling according to law, not who she knows. Plus, dealing with the system for so many years, she is already aware of the various laws and her obligations, as well as her limitations. She is not going into this desiring to and believing she can do certain things only to find out afterwards she is not able to do it.
