Which one of these "tweener" girls' mom works in PR and decided to call the Tribune about this?

I like how the media is trying to spin these moral young men as terrible towards their fans. They try to accomodate all of their fans graciously and with so much respect. There is just not enough time in the the day. It's not everyday we have young celebrities like these boys that we shouldn't be complaining over the tedious.

I'm sure the three Jonas Brothers don't know anything about this....lol..
If it continues to brew some PR coach will brief them about it and tell them what to say.
Build your self-esteem around something else, girls....
Parents? Find additional and role models and outlets for your children.
We can do better than the most popular male pop group on the planet.
Thank you, The Future

Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!
I'm sorry, but these girls are idiots if they think the boys actually care about the posters... or the "green" element. If they did, they'd never ask for their fans to kill so many trees with the poster-making in the first place.

The Jonas Bros. are great guys, I'm sure. Their singing actually isn't too bad either. Who else are your girls looking up to? Idolizing? Worshiping? I'm NOT worried about the Jonas Bros.(thanks for your concern, Laura), however - talking big picture - what are the Jonas Bros. going to mean to your daughter in 10 years?? Who are the looking up to? Do they have anyone?

All I can say is, THANK GOD I am the mother of 4 BOYS. I cannot tolerate all this Jonas Brothers B.S. There aren't many boys who would go to great lengths to meet a pop star. Maybe a sports figure, but not a goofy pop star. I liked this type of music when I was a kid, but my parents drew the line at worshiping these "stars". I bought albums, hung posters, and watched performances on the American Music Awards. That was IT. None of this getting to a concert 4 hours early, and waiting in line for hours. Especially when you're 13! Give me a small break.

Hopefully the girls will learn from this disappointment. Hopefully they'll learn to ignore "musicians" who are little more than walking advertisements and corporate shills. Hopefully they'll learn to produce art for their own benefit, or art for art's sake, rather than to help a giant auto maker greenwash it's image.
By the way, I'm pretty sure that Laura from Portland is the PR hack.

For those too old to remember: children idolize famous and successful people like pop stars or athletes as part of the process of growing up. They fantasize about fame and achievement as one step in learning what it takes to succeed in life. It's harmless. Along the way, these kids line the pockets of people like the Jonas Brothers and their sponsors, like General Motors, who have a minimal obligation of fulfilling their promises, like actually judging a poster contest. We were at the show Sunday and waited on a line to nowhere because the contest was either poorly organized or a sham. After 20 minutes, my daughter gave up and we put her poster back in the car. The Jonas Brothers' representatives and GM blew it big time and will have to answer to their fans.

I took my daughters who are 13 and 15 to the Jonas Brothers Concert. Yes we did see all the posters in the trash and it was a shame. But it was nice to see a concert where there was clean entertainment. One of my daughters went with the Girl Scouts to see Gwen Stefani and Akon last year and every other word was a curse word. The whole thing was disgusting. So let the girls enjoy the nice, clean LOUD fun.At least they are not listening to trash and every other word is f***.Dont agree with the people not liking the Jonas Brothers.

Screw the green movement. How about doing something tangible instead of making a bunch of paper posters from torn down trees to win some time with some Disney hearthrobs. Typical hippies.

Wait....this is just getting the girls ready for being screwed by Disney and GM once they grow up. A sort of pre-consumerism...

Why don't these girls get into some good music, and we can put the JB's in the trash?

who cares, people who waste money on these shoved-out-there super-pop-disney-disasters get what they deserve: a horrible band and a sub-par understanding of concept of musical talent.

I cant take any more "green" stuff. It has been so distorted and rammed down our throats by everyone, everywhere, that it has no meaning. I am losing my mind, please make it stop

We need to bring back a belt across the buttocks to teach these crying kids with their wee lil' posters in a trash a lesson. NOt enable them like Starbucks injected soccer moms in SUVs from Downer's Grove.
