Please watch the pick up of school supplies by parents that claim to be broke,How do they afford new cars? I started watching after a lady paid for lobster tails with a food stamp card. She went to her '06 car. It makes me sick Start watching and you'll see it right before your eyes. That is a CHEAT of the system for the ones that really need it. Let the teachers that know the family pass these supplies, who decides who get what. This program needs a watch dog.

If find this story offensive, anything to do with back packs and packing is something elephants find offensive. But this whole idea is a good one.

i tried contacting the club for help last year and no one would return my calls. when you have 5 children and become disabled, school supplies are difficult to pay for. it makes me angry that when you call because you truly need help, no one responds. yet people who dont truly need it can get it without a problem

i just spoke with a person at boys and girls club of buffalo. i was told they did not collect enough to be able to help me and that their buffalo clients come first. i guess it is true that if you dont live in the city they dont think you need help!

thats disgusting, the people in Buffalo well most of them are not in need of them either, they drive brand new blazers, they have loud sound systems(dont think they come equiped w/the vechical),they have nice cell phones they have nice cloths and dont forget the hair styles, their apartment rent well thats for free to threw the dept.of welfare, they dont pay bills thats for free also, even the 5-6 kids they have their a check every month for them so what do they have to pay for that makes them get more help before anyone that really needs it?there is a post saying that the supp;ies should be passed out threw the teachers they know the kids that really need them, this backpack thing is a joke and for the ones that dont need it are still laughing they got something for free.my children go to a city school(public)and have to wear black or navy blue pants, white shirts, and black shoes,i'm wondering how many children will be dressed this year?,the school even has a clothes drive if you cant afford the pants or shirts they have some for pick up before school starts,a reliable sorce told me i never knew that but the sorce also told me they have pregnant mothers there w/nice hair styles and cloths and even a matching cell phone coming to the school for clothes, are they really in need?NO!and to top it off the principal is black most of the kids are to when i got in the school any day last couple of years these kids arent even in uniform but when my children tell me they dont wanna look like penguins anymore i'll dress them in regular cloths, and i get my friendly phone call home about my children not being dressed in the colors for school, whats wrong w.the pic there?well this year the pricipal is gonna not only have me complaining but the board of eduaction will be visiting the school and keeping after the principal,if she's gonna favor the black maybe she needs to find another job.most of the time it's not a win or loose situation in Buffalo,it's the color you are.

I totally agree with you - welfare checks are supposed to cover the cost of living - which would include school supplies, so why would I buy it for them? I already am with my taxes. I'm sorry, but I see these people with 2 carts full of food (usually junk food) and their kids have brand new sneakers on and their gold earrings are bigger then my head, and I watch them pay for their food with foodstamps, mean while I (who works 40 hours a week and managed to get a college degree while doing it with 2 kids) has to tell my daughter she can't get the stupid $5 DIBS she wants because we dont have enough. Life is great.

http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/151336.... who the hells fault is this?the parents that cant get off their crack A$$ and work?,at least part time, something to better their self's,the city is populating w/these people over nite 7 days a week,it's like their dropping from the sky,and as for the ones that really need help can probably go to hell, because these low life scums come first and always will come first, the gov.needs to send these state paid welfare slobs to africa where they belong, now i dont blame the people in new orleans that dont want the ward built up again they got rid of their scum quick, why cant buffalo get 1 good storm and wipe them away?

i also fault the boys and girls club director. why should only her members be eligible? is that not favortism and discriminatory that she decides her members are more in need than anyone else? this drive is helped by the whole community so why shouldnt the whole community be eligible?! is channel 2 even aware that they are helping only those the director of boys and girls club deems worthy?

It states in the story that the supplies are to help families in ALL OF WESTERN NY. I would thing that you should qualify. And if they are wanting help from anyone and everyone that can donate, no one should be turned away. Except for those mothers who come in with their nails and hair done up. If you can spend $25 every 2 weeks for your nails, you can buy your own stuff.

i randomly stumbled thru this story, and its comments; when i clicked the thread i expected it to be a joke story about 2 people packing a backpack for an afternoon stroll... instead we get a little ball of racism i think? anyway, i'll roll the ball and say that abortion should be banned as birth control, because for every little WHITE rich girl that gets pregnant finds it easier to have an abortion than have a child OR EVEN TELL HER PARENTS, there must be 20 welfare children born, every one with a taxpayer paid direct deposit paycheck attached. that's the next generation. the whites are killing off their own future.
god bless you and america
