I was hoping to get some ideas and suggestions for an outdoor wedding ceremony site. One that offers shelter if there is rain... Or any ideas of a really neat barn in the area that could be rented to hold the ceremony.. THANKS IN ADVANCE

The roundhouse is really pretty and is very cheap to rent. The downside is no bathroom and no A/C, but if you can get around that it is a beautiful location. We had some of our pictures taken out there and they were beautiful.

Thanks Christine. I looked there and the only thing I am afraid of is the size. There is a possibility of 100 guests and if it rains it could be a little cramped. Do you know approx. how many people will fit in there?

The best thing I can tell you is Dont get married take your money that your going to spend on your mariage or death party as I like to put it and go have fun. If you take this advice from me you'll be better off than you ever thought you could be but if you dont when your setting around in misery some day dont say no one told you so.

Sounds like it didn't work out so well for this guy. I've been married for 7yrs and we had a beautiful wedding and party after. Just remember even the best thought out plans still do not always go as planned. Be flexible and enjoy the time you have together with your family and friends. And don't listen to Fred R or whoever that guy is.

Have you considered the "ball room" there at the Sanatarium (spelling, sorry).....I don't even know if they rent it. I know it is indoors, but a thought. I also know several who have gotten married at the golf course in Shelbina (very pretty) and of course Long Branch Lake.

That would be real smart get your pictures taken in an old nut house. Thats just how I would want to remember my wedding. Give it five years and youll think you should have been in the nut house as to get married.

take your godd*** negativity and shove it, this is the second time I've seen you posting negative comments about something on two DIFFERENT posts! This is something very beautiful and if you want to post hate comments than you really should just do it on your Myspace or whatever, because the bride 2 b is under enough stress as is without you wining about your horrible love life or whatever brought this attitude onto you. Get out of the depression rut and get on with your life.

I think YOU are the one who needs the nut house. The ballroom at the Lake View Towers is very nice and clasically restored. The view out by the round house is also very pretty many different times of the year. FRED-Lay off of this nice lady who is only here to get nice and positive ideas for a wedding in our area.
Leave it alone if you have nothing nice to say.

My best to the bride, her groom and all of the family and friends involved in what I hope to be a beautiful occasion...

having your wedding in the woods under a tree stand does sound very interesting but the inside of the lakeview towers is very nice idea for a wedding

Why dont you have it at hooters then your husband will not have to look at the same boring person like hes going to have to until he finally breaks down and gets divorced.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!! I will check out the ballroom. I didnt even know there was one in there. Curious as to where the Braudis Mansion is.

Fred, sorry your marriage didnt work out. Perhaps you should seek some counseling to get ove some of your anger issues. Life gives you wonderful things if you know what you are looking for!

thanks GrannyC but I'd just like to clarify... My intention was to get some suggestions as to where to have the ceremony. It was not asking opinions about whether we should get married or not!
